ABSTRACT
The collaboration between the Department of Education and the hospital is mainly empiric. Among the questions raised by the presence of teachers in pediatric departments, one of the most important relates to the reasons why the hospital calls on the Department of Education and the purpose of their cooperation. This paper is a reflection on this question by a teacher working with sick children in a pediatric department. The relations between the teacher and his hospitalized pupil are particularly original. Teaching a sick child should not only take into account the patient's status but consider the sick child in his entirety.
