ABSTRACT

Peculiarities of accumulation and excretion of different phosphor-organic pesticides from stomach wall at peroral introduction in LD50 dose. The data on dependence of pesticide LD50 on the rate of accumulation is stomach wall, the time of their biological lifetime, the direction of metabolism, and content of intact pesticides in liver tissues have been presented.

ABSTRACT

Phthalophos, organophosphoric pesticide, in the perfused isolated liver of rats transforms to water-soluble oxymethyl phthalimide and phthalimide. The induction of the liver hydroxylating enzymic system with milbex accelerates transformation of phthalophos: in 5 min only 14% of its initial amount is found in perfusate, while in the control--52%. The inhibition of the hydroxylating enzymic system with tetramethylthiuramdisulphide (dithiocarbamate pesticide) inhibits transformation of phthalophos: in 15 min perfusate contains 33% of its initial amount and the control--16%. Induction and inhibition of the hydroxylating enzymic system of the liver affect essentially the phthalophos toxicodynamics, decreasing the degree of the cholinesterase activity.

ABSTRACT

The activity of hexokinase, glucose-6-phosphatase and glucose-6-phosphoric dehydrogenase was studied in the liver of rats after one hour, one and five days after a single oral administration of organic phosphorus insecticide valekson. It was determined that administration of the preparation led to an increase of activity in the homogenate and solubilization of glucose-6-phosphatase, activation of glucose-6-phosphoric dehydrogenase and inhibition of hexokinase. The changes were maximum one hour after the administration of the compound. The results show that a decrease of the intensity of glucose-6-phosphate formation and metabolism is one of the pathogenetic factors in the development of valekson-induced intoxication.
