ABSTRACT
Em virtude do seu modo de agir, os equinos estão sujeitos a sofrerem lesões ou traumatismos e, devido ainda a sua atividade, do seu ambiente, que pode influenciar a ocorrência de lesões. A fim de minimizar o tempo e custos do tratamento de cicatrização de lesões cutâneas, a ozonioterapia é uma técnica que utiliza o ozônio como agente terapêutico. O objetivo foi mostrar a eficiência terapêutica do Ozônio na cicatrização de feridas em equinos. Foi atendido um equino, que apresentava uma ferida infectada, submetido ao tratamento utilizando o gás ozônio na forma tópica. Ao termino do tratamento o mesmo apresentou resposta satisfatória, observando reparação tecidual completa.
Because of their mode of action, horses are subject to injury or trauma and, due to their activity, their environment, which can influence the occurrence of injuries. In order to reduce the time and costs of treating the healing of skin lesions, ozone therapy is a technique that uses ozone as a therapeutic agent. The objective was to show the therapeutic efficiency of ozone in the healing of wounds in horses. A horse was treated, which presented an infected wound, submitted to treatment using ozone gas in topical form. When finishing the treatment or the same result of the satisfactory answer, observe the complete technical repair.
