El cuidador principal es una figura clave en el cuidado del pacienteen su domicilio. Éste se convierte en soporte del enfermoy la mayoría de las veces de la familia, con lo cual losprofesionales enfermeros debemos de procurar su captacióny prestarles la máxima atención a sus necesidades, comouno de los ejes principales para una mejora de los cuidadosenfermeros del paciente en su casa.En este trabajo se presentan estrategias para el manejo dela problemática que vive el/la cuidador/a principal, tanto desdeel modelo del cuidador como recurso, como desde el modelodel cuidador como cliente. Finalmente se hace una propuestade taller


The main carer is the key element in the caring for a patient at home.The carer becomes the nurse’s support and more often thannot the support of the family and thus, we, the nursing professionals,should try to pay closer attention to the carer’sneeds as one of the most important means of the nursingcare provided to patients at their homes.This study presents strategies for the management of theproblems that the main carer is faced with, both from a carer’smodel perspective and the client. The study concludes with the proposal of a workshop for carers to attend (AU)

ABSTRACT

A health education program for the general public is taken for granted as one of the functions which fall on primary health care centers. Such a program will be fundamental to change people's habits and make these healthier; it will be based on a model having a conceptual framework aided by a guide which facilitates completion of the tasks the educator has assigned. For this program, bi-directional methods in learning will be used, fully programming all actions to be carried out.
