ABSTRACT

Efficient harvesting and storage of dispersed irregular energy from the environment are crucial to the demand for the distributed devices of the Internet of Things (IoTs). Here, a carbon felt (CF)-based energy conversion-storage-supply integrated system (CECIS) that contains a CF-based solid-state supercapacitor (CSSC) and a CF-based triboelectric nanogenerator (C-TENG) is presented, which is capable of simultaneously energy storage and conversion. The simple treated CF not only delivers a maximal specific capacitance of 402.4 F g-1 but also prominent supercapacitor characteristics with fast charge and slow discharge, enabling 38 LEDs successfully lightened for more than 900 s after a wireless charging time of only 2 s. With the original CF as the sensing layer, buffer layer, and current collector of C-TENG, the maximal power of 91.5 mW is attained. The CECIS shows a competitive output performance. The time ratio of the duration of supply energy to the harvesting and storage reaches 9.6:1, meaning that it is competent for the continuous energy application when the effective working time of C-TENG is longer than one-tenth of the whole day. This study not only highlights the great potential of CECIS in sustainable energy harvesting and storage but also lays the foundation for the ultimate realization of IoTs.

A variety of factors can cause sleep disruption in critical children, which may have an impact on disease recovery and long-term prognosis.Currently, there is still no systematic study on sleep disruption in critical children, and the available evaluation tools on sleep in PICU are limited.The diversified sleep management programs may be effective in promoting sleep.

ABSTRACT

Acute lung injury and acute respiratory distress syndrome are characterized by acute,progressive dyspnea,refractory hypoxemia and bilateral pulmonary innfiltrates.Stem cell is a type of cell with strong differentiation function,which can differentiate into various types of cells,such as endothelial cells,epithelial cells,adipocytes and chondrocytes.The therapeutic potential and safety of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) in regenerative therapy and immune regulation have become the research hotspot.A large number of studies have shown that MSC can be used to treat lung injury in many ways,but the specific mechanism is not clear.Therefore,the mechanism of acute lung injury and the therapeutic effects of marrow MSC in acute lung injury will be reviewed in this paper.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the effects of bone mesenchymal stem cells(BMSC) on the expression level of inflammatory factors IL-1beta and IL-10 from young rats with acute lung injury(ALI).Methods Seventy-two SPF male SD young rats were randomly divided into three groups:control group,disease model group(model group),disease model + BMSC(treatment group).Each group was then randomly divided into four subgroups according to the treatment phages.The juvenile rat ALI models were established.BMSC was injected into the treatment group,and DMEM was injected into the model and the control groups.Then,the pathological changes of lung tissues were observed.The W/D ratio,the neutrophil count and protein content in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF) were measured.The changes of IL-1beta and IL-10 contents were detected.Results Compared with the control group and the treatment group,the number of neutrophils,total protein content and W/D ratio of BALF lung tissue in the model group increased significantly in each period(P < 0.05).The degree of lung injury in the treatment group was significantly weaker than that in the model group.The levels of IL-1beta and IL-10 in serum decreased in different treatment periods(48 hours vs 6 hours,P <0.05).In model group,IL-1beta was abundantly expressed in the cytoplasm and wall of alveolar epithelial cells,while in treatment group,the expression intensity of IL-1 beta protein was significantly decreased.The levels of IL-1 beta and IL-10 protein in lung tissues of model group were significantly higher than those of control group(P <0.05).Conclusion BMSC has an important effect on the expression of inflammatory factors IL-1beta and IL-10 in ALI young rates.BMSC can alleviate the inflammatory reaction of long injury and participate in the repair of lung iniury.
