ABSTRACT

This study aimed to simulate frozen instant soup rice noodles (FISRN) and investigate the effects of long-term frozen storage (-18 °C, 180 days) on the quality characteristics, moisture status, and starch retrogradation of FISRN. The findings indicated that the extent of starch retrogradation gradually increased over 90 days, which elevated the RS rate and inhibited starch digestibility. However, recrystallization resulted in a gradual increase in ice crystal size after 90 days, which disrupted the ordered structure formed by starch retrogradation, reduced the degree of starch order, and accelerated the rate of starch digestion. Furthermore, a longer relaxation time (T24) was detected by NMR with increasing storage time. The weakly bound water in FISRN was gradually converted to free water. Texture results suggested that the hardness of FISRN experienced a general decrease. The cooking loss increased progressively from 3.66 % to 8.10 %. Scanning electron microscope demonstrated that the internal porous network structure of FISRN became inhomogeneous, and a significant number of apertures were formed on the surface. Overall, starch retrogradation and ice recrystallization significantly impact the quality of FISRN during long-term frozen storage. The findings may potentially influence the consumption and market circulation of FISRN positively.

ABSTRACT

The study evaluated the effect of freezing rate on the quality of water-added quick-frozen rice noodles and water-free quick-frozen rice noodles. Results indicated that the retrogradation enthalpy, relative crystallinity, freezable water content, and cooking loss of water-added quick-frozen rice noodles were higher than those of water-free quick-frozen rice noodles with increasing storage time. Furthermore, ice recrystallization accelerated the deterioration of the quality of the rice noodles, resulting in the enlargement of the pores within the rice noodles and the formation of many pores on the surface. This phenomenon was particularly evident in the rice noodles of Y-40 °C (freezing with water at -40 °C) and Y-60 °C (freezing with water at -60 °C). After 28 days of frozen storage, the hardness increased by 83.83 % for rice noodles of Y-20 °C (freezing with water at -20 °C), while the hardness decreased by 51.68 % and 45.80 %, respectively, for rice noodles of Y-40 °C and Y-60 °C. Consequently, the impact of the freezing rate on the quality of water-added quick-frozen rice noodles is more pronounced than that of water-free quick-frozen rice noodles. Moreover, a higher freezing rate can delay the deterioration of the quality of frozen rice noodles by postponing starch retrogradation and inhibiting ice recrystallization.

ABSTRACT

Circular RNAs (circRNAs) have been identified as important regulators in cancer progression. Nevertheless, little is known about the biological function of circ_0000376 in the progression of osteosarcoma (OS). Cell viability, colony formation ability, apoptosis, and motility were analyzed by Cell Counting Kit-8 assay, colony formation assay, flow cytometry, and transwell assays. Cellular glycolytic metabolism was analyzed using commercial kits. RT-qPCR and Western blot assay were performed to analyze RNA and protein expression in OS tissues and cells. Starbase software was used to establish circRNA-microRNA (miRNA)-messenger RNA linkage, and intermolecular interaction was verified by dual-luciferase reporter assay. Xenograft tumor assay was conducted to analyze the effects of Tanshinone I (Tan I) and circ_0000376 on xenograft tumor growth in vivo. Tan I treatment suppressed the viability, migration, invasion, and glycolysis and triggered the apoptosis of OS cells. Tan I treatment markedly down-regulated circ_0000376 expression in OS cells. The addition of circ_0000376 plasmid largely rescued the malignant behaviors of OS cells upon Tan I exposure. Circ_0000376 interacted with miR-432-5p in OS cells. Circ_0000376 overexpression-mediated protective effects in Tan I-induced OS cells were partly attenuated by the accumulation of miR-432-5p. miR-432-5p bound to the 3' untranslated region (3'UTR) of B-cell leukemia/lymphoma 2 (BCL2) in OS cells. miR-432-5p interference-induced effects in Tan I-treated OS cells were partly overturned by the silence of BCL2. Circ_0000376 can act as miR-432-5p sponge to up-regulate BCL2 expression in OS cells. Circ_0000376 silencing contributed to the anti-tumor effect of Tan I on the growth of xenograft tumors in vivo. Tan I exerted an anti-tumor role in OS progression by targeting circ_0000376/miR-432-5p/BCL2 axis.

ABSTRACT

This paper evaluates the role of nursing informatization in improving nursing quality management by analyzing and comparing changes in nursing quality before and after the implementation of nursing informatization. Using modern computer network technology to evaluate nursing quality, monitor the implementation of nursing management plans, and control nursing quality links in real time has helped to promote and improve nursing quality. The integration mode of the existing hospital information system is sorted out and standardized according to the requirements of refined hospital management. We can optimize the overall architecture of the hospital information system, reduce the tight coupling between business systems, support rapid integration and flexible expansion of business systems, and lay a foundation for the cooperation and data sharing of medical resources in and out of the hospital by establishing a hospital information platform based on standardized specifications.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To develop a patient-reported outcomes (PRO) scale for post-stroke aphasia based on the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) holism. Methods:Referring to the TCM holism, the theoretical model was established following the standard process for the development of the PRO scale. An item pool was established and optimized with case review, patient interview, expert questionnaire survey and consensus conference. The PRO scale was established finally. Results:A pool of post-stroke aphasia items based on the holistic view of TCM was constructed in the physical, psychological and social model. The Expert Comment Form for the PRO Scale for Aphasia after Stroke was formed after sorting out the item pool. After expert surveys and meeting discussion, 40 items were finally selected to form the first version of Patient-reported Outcomes Scale for Post-stroke Aphasia-TCM. Conclusion:The first version of Patient-reported Outcomes Scale for Post-stroke Aphasia-TCM has been developed based on the TCM holism and the concept of PRO, which can be evaluated clinically.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To clarify the characteristics of electroencephalogram (EEG) power spectrum network of right hemisphere in patients with post-stroke aphasia (PSA) after left brain damaged. Methods:From December, 2018 to June, 2019, twelve PSA patients with left hemisphere injury were recruited and twelve healthy adults were matched as control group. China Rehabilitation Research Center aphasia examination (CRRCAE) was used to evaluated the linguistic function, and the EEG was collected. The functional connection characteristics of Alpha and Theta power spectrum were compared, and the correlation with language items was analyzed. Results:In PSA patients, the functional connection enhanced in Alpha and Theta frequency bands of central area, frontal, parietal and frontal-parietal joint areas, and decreased in Theta frequency bands of temporoparietal, parietal-occipital area, frontal, fronta-parietal and frontal central areas. The enhancement of alpha frequency functional connection from the right parietal occipital region to the central region was significantly correlated to the reduction of the expression ability (P < 0.05), while the weakening of theta frequency functional connection between the right parietal occipital region and the forehead and the center of the forehead was significantly correlated to the ability of speaking, reading, copying, dictation and calculation (r = -0.676~-0.717, P < 0.05). Conclusion:EEG power spectrum network can reflect the reorganization of right brain function network, and the change of right frontal parietal central network function connection may be closely related to PSA language injury and recovery.

OBJECTIVE@#To compare and analyse the efficiency of the low-temperature plasma radiofrequency and the traditional method in tonsillectomy.@*METHOD@#Sixty-four patients with chronic tonsillitis were randomly divided into group A (39 cases) and group B (25 cases). Patients in the group A were treated with traditional method tonsillectomy while patients in the group B were treated with low-temperature plasma radio frequency tonsillectomy. Analysed differences in operation time, blood loss, and postoperative pain as well as the incidence of postoperative between two groups.@*RESULT@#There were significant differences in operative time, blood loss, and postoperative pain (P 0.05).@*CONCLUSION@#Low-temperature plasma radiofrequency tonsillectomy is a safer method and has many superiorities including shorter operative time, less blood loss, quicker recovery of postoperative pain compared with traditional tonsillectomy.

OBJECTIVE@#To compare the three different approaches in the curettage of adenoid hypertrophy: the traditional curettage of adenoids through mouth (group A), the adenoidectomy through nose under nasal endoscope (group B), the adenoidectomy through both mouth and nose under nasal endoscope (group C).@*METHOD@#Clinical data of adenoid hypertrophy patients who had accepted the surgery therapy, were retrospectively analyzed; Symptoms of night snore, nasal obstruction, rhinorrhea, acouesthesia and the adenoid residue among the patients who had got three different surgery, were compared among them.@*RESULT@#Adenoid residue were found in six cases of group A. No adenoid residue were found in group B and C . Recovery of nasal obstruction and night snore in group C were much better than that in group A and B (P<0.01, <0.05).@*CONCLUSION@#The ideal way to cure adenoidal hypertrophy is the adenoidectomy done through mouth and nose under nasal endoscope.
