ABSTRACT
La presencia de alteraciones de la piel que repercuten en la estética constituyen una preocupación para los adolescentes, y la presencia de queloides puede ser causa de ansiedad o depresión para el paciente y sus familiares. El queloide, además de alterar la psiquis y afectar la autoestima, puede ser doloroso y provocar trastornos funcionales. Se realizó un estudio prospectivo y longitudinal con 32 adolescentes con queloides, que acudieron a la Consulta de Dermatología del Hospital Pediátrico de Centro Habana durante el periodo de 2007 al 2009. Los mismos recibieron tratamiento con Triamcinolona intra-lesional, como principal terapéutica, la mitad de los pacientes recibieron un tratamiento combinado con hepalce de uso tópico y la otra mitad con heparina sódica, también en crema de uso tópico. Todos los pacientes tratados evolucionaron favorablemente, con mejoría o aplanamiento total de las lesiones. La presencia de reacciones adversas no fue significativa, y el grado de satisfacción que manifestaron los pacientes y sus familiares fue elevado (AU)
The presence of skin alterations that affect people's appearance constitute a worry for adolescents; the presence of hypertrophic scars or keloids can cause anxiety or depression to patients and their families. These dermic lesions, as well as altering the patient's mind and self-esteem, can be painful and provoke functional disorders. A prospective and longitudinal study was carried out with 32 adolescents who had keloids and went to the dermatologist's office at the Children Hospital in Centro Habana, during the period between 2007 and 2009. As the main treatment, they had intra-lesion triamcinolone; half of them received it combined with topical use hepalce, and the other half with heparine sodium cream, also of topical use. All the patients did favorably, some of them got better or had their lesions completely even, showing no significant adverse reactions, and a high degree of satisfaction of patients and relatives (AU)
