ABSTRACT
Diversas técnicas de rejuvenescimento têm sido a alternativa terapêutica de pacientes que buscam por um rejuvenescimento facial. O lifting facial com o uso de fios de sustentação é uma técnica minimamente invasiva e apresenta ótimos resultados pós-operatórios. Para isso, materiais reabsorvíveis têm sido preferencialmente usados. Entre eles, citamos o fio de polidioxanona (PDO), um polímero sintético, biodegradável e com baixa reação inflamatória entre o tecido e o fio. Fornece suporte e estimula os tecidos das áreas ao redor do defeito estético através da produção de colágeno, assim, neutralizando os efeitos do envelhecimento. Este trabalho tem como finalidade mostrar as mudanças ocasionadas após a inserção do fio na face química e fisicamente, relatar um caso em que o fio de polidioxanona foi utilizado na harmonização facial e apresentar suas vantagens, desvantagens e indicações (AU).
Several techniques of rejuvenation have been a therapeutic alternative for patients who seek facial rejuvenation. The facelift with the use of support threads is a minimally invasive technique that provides excellent postoperative results. For this, resorbable materials have been preferably used. Between them, we quote the polydioxanona thread (PDO), a synthetic and biodegradable polymer and a low inflammable reaction between the tissue and the thread which provides the support and stimulates the tissues of the areas around the aesthetic defect for the production of collagen, neutralizing the effects of aging. This work aims to show how the changes caused due to the insertion of the thread on the face chemically and physically, report a case which the polydioxanone thread was used in facial harmonization, and then present its advantages, disadvantages, and indications (AU).
