ABSTRACT

The demographic situation in recent decades has been characterized by a progressive increase in the proportion of older age groups in both developed countries and the Russian Federation. The main contribution to morbidity and mortality of people over 60 years of age is made by diseases of the circulatory system. Early development and progression of cardiovascular diseases contributes to kidney dysfunction, often developing against the background of morphological changes occurring with age in the kidneys, called "senile kidney". Reduction of glomerular filtration rate in elderly patients is not mandatory and in most cases occurs as a result of an existing pathological process. The combined effect of changes in GFR and cardiovascular disease on the prognosis of older patients remains poorly understood, which determines the relevance of the study of chronic kidney disease in geriatric patients.

ABSTRACT

The offered methodological principles of the geriatric analysis in medicine enables to plan economic parameters of social protection of the population, necessary amount of medical help financing, to define a structure of the qualified medical personnel training. It is shown that personal health and cognitive longevity of the person depend on the adequate system geriatric analysis and use of biological parameters monitoring in time. That allows estimate efficiency of the combined individual treatment. The geriatric analysis and in particular its genetic-mathematical component aimed at reliability and objectivity of an estimation of the person life expectancy in the country and in region due to the account of influence of mutagen factors as on a gene of the person during his live, and on a population as a whole.

ABSTRACT

This paper is devoted to the consideration of the mechanisms of electrostimulation of excitable tissues used in remedial medicine. Community of biophysical principles underlying the Weiss-Lapique and Dubois-Reymond laws is emphasized. The action of stimulating pulses on biological tissues and its consequences are analysed with reference to their shape (rectangular, triangular, and exponential). It is shown that the shape of the accommodation curve depends on the shape of stimulating pulses and physiological conditions of the tissue.

ABSTRACT

Potentials of the use of computer synthesis of integral electrical vector of the heart D0 are described. Calculation of spatial angular vector velocity and linear velocity of its movement along trajectory can be carried out in a framework of biophysical dipole model. Spatial presentation of vector is realized and its behavior in accordance with established pathologies discussed. Possible diagnostic value of obtained results and utility of their introduction into clinical practice are stressed.

ABSTRACT

The role of such parameter as electric quality of the heart (EQH) is assessed by a biophysical analysis of a new model of dipolic equivalent electric generator of the heart taking account of myocardial inductivity in the course of excitation. How to estimate EQH by standard ECG parameters using calculated nomogram is shown. Results of EQH estimation in the course of treatment are provided.

ABSTRACT

Microwave therapy (millimetric waves) was used for treatment of spinal osteochondrosis. The effect was manifest as early as the first sessions. The pain alleviated, muscular tension decreased, movements recovered, convulsions and numbness of the legs ceased. Possible biophysical mechanisms of EHF waves are discussed.
