[The effectiveness of the health resort treatment of patients with diseases of the locomotor apparatus]. / Effektivnost' kurortnogo lecheniia bol'nykh s zabolevaniiami oporno-dvigatel'nogo apparata.

A study of 80 patients with spinal osteochondrosis and 27 patients with osteochondrosis deformans revealed high efficacy of treatment at the "Marcial Waters" health results (Karelian SSR). The authors developed methods of analgesiometry permitting to evaluate objectively treatment results.

[The possibilities for evaluating the structure of a pain syndrome and the analgesic action of the therapeutic factors in health resort practice]. / Vozmozhnosti otsenki strukturu bolevogo sindroma i anal'geticheskogo deistviia lechebnykh faktorov v kurortologicheskoi praktike.

Chronic pain sufferers with vertebral osteochondrosis (altogether 80 patients) have been examined. The course of the pain syndrome and its intensity were studied with a modified McGill's pain questionnaire. The latter proved able to provide a reliable reflection of the pain qualitative and quantitative characteristics allowing objective evaluation of pelotherapeutic analgetic potential. A course of pelotherapy resulted in pain relief and improved values of its basic components under study. Introduction of the analgetic coefficient promoted gradation of pelotherapy-induced analgetic effect.

The paper deals with the preparation of endothelial monolayers "en face". New approach is based on the silver impregnation of cell borders prior to the endothelium replacing from the vascular wall.
