ABSTRACT

Esse trabalho propõe-se a estudar histologicamente a resposta do tecido pulpar de terceirosmolares humanos hígidos, após exposição provocada e contato direto com o sistema adesivoPrime & Bond 2.1® e hidróxido de cálcio p.a. (controle). O estudo conclui que os doisprodutos avaliados são biocompatíveis, mas somente o hidróxido de cálcio p.a. foi capaz depromover barreira de tecido mineralizado reparando por completo o tecido pulpar.


The aim of the present study was to evaluate the histological pulpal response of healthy human third molar following direct pulp capping of mechanically exposed teeth with dentine adhesive Prime & Bond 2.1® and calcium hydroxide-based material (control). It seems that both products are biocompatible, but only calcium hydroxide-based material is capable of continuous hard tissue bridge formation.
