ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the effects of color retention treatment on the preservation of medicinal plant herbariums, film-cover specimens and resin specimens. Methods Seven kinds of medicinal plants with different characters after color retention treatment were made into herbariums, film-cover specimens and resin specimens, and then the preservation results for the above three kinds of medicinal plant specimens with or without color retention treatment were compared. Results Resin and film-cover specimens without color retention treatment had better preservation results than herbariums. All of the three kinds of specimens with color retention treatment had better preservation results for the original color and shape than the specimens without color retention treatment. Conclusion Color retention treatment for the medicinal plants results into higher preservation quality of the herbariums and longer preservation period.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To denvolop HPLC an method for the determination of the content of three saponins in Zhixiao suppositories. Methods: Analysis carriedout was performed on a Kromasil C18 column (4.6 mm×250 mm., 5μm)at 23℃. The mobile phases were methanol and 0.2% phosphoricacid solution in a gradient elution. The flow rate was set at 1.0 mL·min-1 and the ultraviolet detector was operated at 203 nm. Results: The linear ranges of notoginsenoside R1, ginsenoside Rg1 and ginsenoside Rb1 were 0.368~2.76μg,0.676~5.07 μg and 0.812~6.09μg,respectively. The average recoveries of the three saponins were 98.53%, 99.20% and 99.35%, respectively. The RSD (n=5) were 2.11%, 1.88% and 2.38%, respectively. Conclusion: The separation is a good and the results are accurate and reproducible. It can be used for the quality control of Zhixiao suppositories.

ABSTRACT

Objective To analysis compositions of the volatile oil in Adenosma glutinosum (Linn.) Druce. Methods GC-MS was used with programmed temperature gas chromatography:raising the temperature (4 ℃/min) to 28 ℃, keeping 9 min. Results GC-MS identified 49 kinds of contents. Conclusion Eucalyptol,?- Bisabolene, Limonene, ?-Terpinene, alpha-pinene, Caryophyllene, alpha-Farnesene, Piperitone, Globulol, 3-Carene, ?-Sesquiphellandrene, L-Fenchone, Caryophyllene oxide and Linalool are main compositions of the volatile oil in Adenosma glutinosum (Linn.) Druce.
