ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: Investigation of the clinical and economic advisability of using self-adhesive wound bandages of plaster type (on the example of Cosmopor E steril) compared to gauze bandages in the conditions of medical organization. METHODS: Study design - a retrospective analysis of literature data. Methods of pharmacoeconomic analysis - cost minimization analysis, «impact on budget¼ analysis. The Unified Information System in Procurement was the information source of the self-adhesive bandages cost. The charges of gauze bandages production were calculated on the basis of data provided by structural subdivisions of SamSMU Clinics. RESULTS: It was determined that the use of self-adhesive bandages of plaster type is economically feasible as a result of the analysis of cost minimization and impact on the budget. Saving during 1 year can be from 259 466 to 532 603 rubles (in total for three departments - 1.1 million rubles). Sensitivity analysis showed the stability of the obtained results to the variation of entry conditions (costs for gauze bandages and bandages of plaster type) in a wide range of values. CONCLUSION: The data obtained from the study showed that the use of bandages of plaster type for different types of surgical treatment is more justified in terms of cost saving.

ABSTRACT

In this study there were utilized a combination of Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy in attenuated total reflection mode (ATR-FTIR) and partial least squares (PLS) regression method to develop quantitative models for determining the concentration of ademetionine in commercial tablets. The established and validated models were specifically designed for a commercial product containing ademetionine 1,4-butandiesulfonate. The coefficient of determination for the developed model was 0.999. Relative standard deviation (RSD) does not exceed 1.6% for repeatability and intermediate accuracy, which meets the international ICH and AOAC requirements for the method performance. The validation results effectively confirmed that this method is suitable and meets the current requirements for analytical methods in drug quality control. Consequently, this approach can be used for routine ademetionine analysis in pharmaceutical products and has the potential to be applied to other active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) in drug quality control.

ABSTRACT

To identify trends in the sector of preferential provision of medicines in the pharmaceutical market of the Privolzhsky Federal District (PFD) an analysis of the implementation of the provision of essential medicines program, funded from the federal budget, was carried out. It has been established that in the structure of the total costs for the implementation of the provision of essential medicines program in the PFD a significant amount of funds (from 83 to 90%) are on the medicine provision of persons with I, II and III disability categories with about 74% of benefit recipients belonging to the age group over 60 years. The leading positions in overall consumption in monetary terms belong the medicines prescribed for the treatment of diabetes mellitus, oncological diseases and bronchial asthma. Hypoglycemic medicines, medicines for the treatment of diseases of the cardiovascular system and bronchial asthma are prevalent by volume.
