ABSTRACT

New 2-(4-benzothiazol-2-yl-phenoxy)-1-(3,5-diphenyl-4,5-dihydro-pyrazol-1-yl)-ethanones (9a-o) have been designed and synthesized. The antiepileptic potential of the synthesized compounds has been tested by following standard animal screening models which include maximal electroshock (MES) and subcutaneous pentylenetetrazole (scPTZ) models. The study concluded that compounds 9c, 9d, 9f, 9i, 9n, and 9o possessed good antiepileptic potential when compared with standard drugs like carbamazepine and phenytoin. The results of the rotarod performance test also established them without any neurotoxicity. The motor impairment test yielded that the synthesized compounds are also good antidepressants. In-silico studies have been performed to determine the eligibility of synthesized compounds as orally administered molecules and interactions with the target proteins. The result of in-silico studies reinforced results obtained by in vivo study of the synthesized compounds along with their possible mechanism of antiepileptic action i.e. via inhibiting voltage-gated sodium channels (VGSCs) and gamma-aminobutyric acid-A receptor.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: Thiazolidine-2,4-dione (2,4-TZD) is a flexible pharmacophore and a privileged platform and contains a five-membered ring with a 2-oxygen atom with double bond 2,4- position and one nitrogen atom as well as sulphur containing in the heterocyclic compound. A famous electron-rich nitrogen transporter combines invigorating electronic properties with the prospective for elemental applications. Thiazolidine-2,4-dione analogues have been synthesized using a variety of methods, all of which have shown to have a strong biological effect. OBJECTIVE: The study of the biological activity of Thiazolidine-2,4-dione derivatives has been a fascinating field of pharmaceutical chemistry and has many purposes. This derivative described in the literature between 1995 to 2023 was the focus of this study. Thiazolidine-2,4-diones have been discussed in terms of their introduction, general method, synthetic scheme and antidiabetic significance in the current review. CONCLUSION: Thiazolidine-2,4-diones are well-known heterocyclic compounds. The synthesis of Thiazolidine-2,4-diones has been described using a variety of methods. Antidiabetic activity has been discovered in several Thiazolidine-2,4-dione derivatives, which enhance further research. The use of Thiazolidine-2,4-diones to treat antidiabetics has piqued researchers' interest in learn-ing more about Thiazolidine-2,4-diones.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: Two significant families of compounds i.e. 1,3,4-oxadiazole and ben-zimidazole, have undergone extensive investigation into their pharmacological characteristics and possible therapeutic applications. Both classes have shown their potential in a variety of ap-plications, and because of their synergistic interactions, they may have an even better therapeutic impact when combined. OBJECTIVES: To produce a specific molecule with potent therapeutic properties, it is now common methods to combine at least two pharmacophores. This facilitates interaction with several targets, enhances biological functions, or eliminates adverse effects associated with them. CONCLUSION: The synthesis of benzimidazole-1,3,4-oxadiazole hybrid compounds has recently involved the use of several synthetic techniques, all of which are detailed in the literature along with the advantages and disadvantages. It has been noted that the structure-activity relationship relates their pharmacological actions to their molecular structure. In order to set the stage for future research, the study aims to provide researchers with an effective toolbox and an under-standing of benzimidazole and 1,3,4-oxadiazole hybrid compounds.

ABSTRACT

Chemical investigation of the methanol extract of Koordersiodendron pinnatum Merr. leaves resulted a new naphthalene derivative, (Z)-4-(tetradec-3-enyl)naphthalene-1,2,7-triol (1), together with three known compounds, β-sitosterol (2), 20-epibryonolic acid (3), and scopoletin (4). The structure of the new compound was elucidated based on spectroscopic evidence. The isolated compounds (1-4) were tested their cytotoxic activities against the P-388 murine leukemia cell line and compound 1 has highest activity with IC50 1.94 ㎛

ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: In this paper, we studied the existence theorems and techniques for finding the solutions of a system of nonlinear set valued variational inclusions in Hilbert spaces. To overcome the difficulties, due to the presence of a proper convex lower semicontinuous function ϕ and a mapping g which appeared in the considered problems, we have used the resolvent operator technique to suggest an iterative algorithm to compute approximate solutions of the system of nonlinear set valued variational inclusions. The convergence of the iterative sequences generated by algorithm is also proved. AMS MATHEMATICS SUBJECT CLASSIFICATION: 49J40; 47H06.
