[Clinical and epidemiological analysis of multiple sclerosis in the Karaganda region]. / Klinicheskaia i épidemiologicheskaia kharakteristika rasseiannogo skleroza v Karagandinskom regione.

Results of an analysis of inpatients with multiple sclerosis in neurological units of Karaganda hospitals from 2006 to 2013 are presented. The following characteristics were identified: higher percentage of women of the age of 24-34, the prevalence of primary progressive and secondary progressive forms of multiple sclerosis that are most prognostically unfavorable, the level of disability of 52%. Attention is drawn to the fact that only 14% of the patients participate in therapeutic programs.
