ABSTRACT

The air transport is a resource more and more used by the emergency services. So it requires as much preparation for the electric-medical equipment as it does for the sanitary personnel. In this clinical case, two of the complications which can appear in the transfer are exposed: the oxygen therapy and the desfibrillation in flight. The infirmary personnel from emergencies must know beforehand the changes that take place with respect to land transport. Just for that, the bibliography about these two questions has been reviewed and the experience of the sanitary personnel about the use of these techniques has been questioned. The oxygen therapy is prepared by the assessment of the needs and the prevention of the unseen incidents. With respect to the desfibrillation in flight, there is a little bibliography about this subject, but following a few basic recommendations and warning beforehand the pilot or head of the ship, it should not be any problem (AU)
