ABSTRACT

Endogenous intoxication and immune insufficiency accompany neoplastic process. Complex therapy for cancer worsens these pathologic conditions by its adverse effects (AE) and thus complicates treatment. Efferent therapy can provide continuity of antineoplastic therapy with normalization of hemostasis and decreasing the rate of AE and their intensity. Efferent therapy meaningfully increases patient's quality of life and decreases the needed drug support when used as a part of complex therapy. Proper use of efferent therapy can markedly increase efficacy of surgical treatment, radiation therapy and drug therapy.

ABSTRACT

Results of the analysis of epizootological and epidemiological situations on avian flu in the Chelyabinsk region in season 2005 are submitted. Features of the foci of the avian flu in the given territory are marked. In particular, the struck settlements were marked by a plenty of nearby reservoirs. On all farmsteads perished on the average from 53% up to 68% of a bird contained at the moment of disease. Hens were mainly amazed. However in well isolated private enterprises the poultry remained healthy. The conclusion that the primary foci of the avian flu are connected to disease of wild birds which case was marked on reservoirs of this territory is made. The forecast for spring and autumn of 2006 on disease the bird's flu remains adverse, presence of the infected territories kept since 2005 is possible. Feature epizootic process in 2006 can be a presence of a plenty of the young growth more subject to disease that can lead to increase in a level of disease the bird's flu.

ABSTRACT

Electromagnetic radiation microwave frequency (MVF) was used in the complex treatment of local infectious infiltrates, as well as chronic bronchitis and acute pneumonia. Preliminary in vitro studies have shown that MVF does not produce any unfavourable effect on the immune system and does not induce the main disease progressing. Indications and contraindications have been described for MVF use in the treatment of patients with hemoblastosis. The method of MVF application includes a gradual increase of intensity and time of MVF action on the affected focus. The course of treatment consists of 8-12 sessions, the improvement being recorded after 3-5 sessions. It has been found that MVF induces improvement of red blood cell rheologic properties, arrest of local inflammatory processes, during shorter terms as compared to patients who were not treated by MVF, as well as it produces a favourable effect on hemodynamic parameters. Complete arresting of the inflammatory process has been recorded in 94.0% of patients with hemoblastosis. The results of the investigation permit recommending MVF in the treatment of infectious (postinjection and postbemorrhagic) infiltrates, chronic bronchitis and acute pneumonia that complicate the course of hemoblastosis. This method of treatment not only diminishes the terms of infectious process elimination, but also increases the effectiveness of their control.

ABSTRACT

Radiocarbon (14C) introduced into the biosphere as a result of nuclear explosions and operation of nuclear power stations has upset the equilibrium existing in nature. The increase in 14C concentration in the biosphere is a problem of considerable hygienic and social importance, since 14C affects all living organism in the world. This paper presents data on 14C migration and metabolism kinetics. Radiocarbon metabolism kinetics depends on the form of the chemical compound metabolized. Inorganic 14C compounds are metabolized relatively fast. Organic 14C compounds (carbohydrates, fats and proteins) are retained longer in the body. Differences in the metabolism kinetics of differents 14C compounds lead to the formation of unequal irradiation doses in various organs and tissues. In establishing standards for admissible 14C intake, one should take into consideration the kind of chemical compound in which the element is incorporated.

ABSTRACT

On the basis of clinical, experimental psychological and EEG data of 133 blind patients 4 types of neurotical personality development were distinguished: asthenical, hysterical, obsessive and hypochondrical. Each of these variants had its certain clinical traits. On all phases of the disease which were related to a sudden loss of sight, the authors mark the necessity of a manifold medical treatment and psychotherapeutical approach directed towards a sociovocational adaptation.
