ABSTRACT

Clinical-and-hemodynamic manifestations of heart failure were studied in 28 patients with iron deficiency anemia (IDA). Half of the IDA patients have been found out to develop the heart failure syndrome of both systolic and diastolic variant. Decrement in exercise tolerance in the above patients is due to anemia as well as to development and progression of the cardiac muscle dysfunction, which fact warrants an in-depth diagnostic quest together with an optimum treatment.

ABSTRACT

Simultaneous use of clophelin and nifedipine for hypertensive attacks in elderly subjects resulted in a sharp fall of the AP due to decrease of the cardiac ejection. In consecutive use of these drugs nifedipine was followed 2 hours later by clophelin in small dosterinemia and increase of cardiac ejection were observed. The consecutive method is ses and a prolonged reduction of AP, peripheral resistance, diastolic values, hyperaldo- preferred in the elderly patients.

ABSTRACT

The authors present a case of during-life diagnosis of primary pulmonary hypertension in a 30-years-old woman. The disease had a two-years history. The peculiarities of this case were incoordinance of asphyxia, cyanosis, hypertrophy of the right heart with the level of pulmonary insufficiency. As to the pathogenetic type this is an acquired plexogenous variant of primary pulmonary hypertension.
