ABSTRACT

We studied the effect of acute vital stress on the parameters of the hemostasis system in young and old Wistar rats. The psychotraumatic effect was simulated as a situation of emotional stress at the sight of a predator (Indian python) catching and eating a conspecific. In young rats, acute vital stress was followed by inhibition of platelet aggregation, hypercoagulation by the external pathway and final stages of plasma hemostasis, and a decrease in fibrinogen and antithrombin III levels against the background of fibrinolysis activation. In old animals, increased platelet count with reduced aggregation capacity, hypocoagulation by the internal pathway of the plasma hemostasis activation, signs of thrombinemia (a 2-fold increase in soluble fibrin-monomer complexes), an increase in antithrombin III, and inhibition of the fibrinolytic system were observed. Age-related changes in the hemostasis parameters in rats were determined before and after stress exposure.

ABSTRACT

We performed experimental evaluation of various positions (ear, paw, and tail) of the of dynamic light scattering sensor of near-infrared laser radiation (840 nm) using speckle interferometry in rats. Dynamic monitoring of the reactions to prolonged ultrasound exposure (7 days) showed that the base of the tail is most suitable for this purpose. Additionally, analysis of microcirculation parameters on the surface of skin autograft was performed. The method of analysis of hemodynamics in humans was adapted for animals.

ABSTRACT

Healthy young persons with different degrees of physical training have been impacted with exposure to a stress (a single physical exercise). It caused unidirectional hypercoagulative shifts and activation of anticoagulant and fibrinolytic blood systems. It was shown that changes of the untrained individuals' haemostatic parameters could be adjusted with adaptogen preliminary administration. The adaptogen administration in trained individuals resulted in disadaptive shifts in the haemostatic system. These contradictory changes indicate different levels of subject's adaptive potential.

ABSTRACT

The paper presents an investigation into the changes in the hemostasis system of rats during extreme exercises. It has been observed that a single two-hour swimming exercise and an eight-hour imposed running in the treadbahn are accompanied by the expressed shifts in hypercoagulation with the signs of thrombinemia. On the background of the decrease in the anticoagulative and fibrinolytic activity it creates a serious threat of intravascular blood coagulation. The preliminary thirty-day course of extractum Eleutherococci eliminated the signs of intravascular blood coagulation.

ABSTRACT

The influence of a chronic (30 days) administration of an eleutherococcus extract on the haemostatic system state was studied in immobilized rats. A 3-h immobilization of untreated animals is accompanied by hypercoagulation and thrombinemia signs on the background of downregulation of the anticoagulant and fibrinolytic activity, which leads to a risk of thrombosis. Preliminary 30-day course of eleutherococcus uptake prevents the immobilization-induced thrombosis in rats.

ABSTRACT

A direct effect of the preparation of pancreatic kallikrein on plasma hemostasis state was shown in experiments in vitro. Incubation of plasma with kallikrein led to an insignificant activation of contact factors of coagulation and suppression of the final stages of the clot formation at the level of the active thrombin formation and the fibrin-monomer polymerization. The growth of the anticoagulant and fibrinolytic activity was found. The possibility of studying the preparation as a thrombolytic agent in thrombotic situations is discussed.
