ABSTRACT

Mammalian bone is constantly metabolized from the embryonic stage, and the maintenance of bone health depends on the dynamic balance between bone resorption and bone formation, mediated by osteoclasts and osteoblasts. It is widely recognized that circadian clock genes can regulate bone metabolism. In recent years, the regulation of bone metabolism by non-coding RNAs has become a hotspot of research. MicroRNAs can participate in bone catabolism and anabolism by targeting key factors related to bone metabolism, including circadian clock genes. However, research in this field has been conducted only in recent years and the mechanisms involved are not yet well established. Recent studies have focused on how to target circadian clock genes to treat some diseases, such as autoimmune diseases, but few have focused on the co-regulation of circadian clock genes and microRNAs in bone metabolic diseases. Therefore, in this paper we review the progress of research on the co-regulation of bone metabolism by circadian clock genes and microRNAs, aiming to provide new ideas for the prevention and treatment of bone metabolic diseases such as osteoporosis.

ABSTRACT

At present, most hospitals in China have the phenomenon of abuse of antibiotics. Hospitals usually give antibiotics to patients, so as to prevent infection after operation. But the use of a large number of antibiotics can cause the patient to produce antibodies to the antibacterials and reduce the sensitivity of the pathogen to the antimicrobial agents. The author studied the application of antibacterial drugs in ophthalmological surgery and carried out a comparative analysis. The total effective rate of the experimental group was 92.7%, the average healing time was (3.5±0.4) days, the total effective rate of the control group was 44%, the average healing time was (7.8±0.4) days, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). The results showed that the effect of antiseptic drugs on wound healing was obvious, and the healing time of the incision could be shortened significantly.

ABSTRACT

Liver injury caused by various reasons can lead to the occurrence of liver fibrosis, which is the pathological process from chronic liver disease to liver cirrhosis.Liver fibrosis is caused by the increased synthesis and reduced degradation of extracellular matrix (ECM).ECM is mainly degraded by matrix metalloproteinases (MMP),and therefore,MMP play an important role in the progression and.diagnosis/treatment of liver fibrosis. This article reviews the research advances in the association between MMP and liver fibrosis.

ABSTRACT

Objective To establish the background information of physiological parameters for germ?free ( GF ) Taihu piglets. Methods In this study we selected 25 days old GF Taihu piglets and 4 conventional ( CV) littermates, the male and female ratio was 1∶3, to measure the normal clinical values of hematology and serum biochemistry, immunoglobu?lin concentration and main organ coefficients. The analysis of relative growths of main organ weight to body weight was con?ducted in the Taihu GF and CV pigs by allometric scaling model. Results (1) Twelve hematological parameters and 8 blood biochemical parameters in the GF piglets were significantly lower than those in CV pigs (P<0?05). (2) The aver?age body weight, IgM concentration of GF pigs and CV pigs had significant difference ( P <0?05 ) , and no mesenteric lymph nodes were found in the GF pigs. (3) The gut weight had the largest allometric association with body weight in the GF pigs, while spleen weight has the largest allometric association with body weight in the CV pigs. Both the weight of heart and stomach in CV and GF pigs had a negative allometric association with body weight (allometric coefficient b<1), respectively. Conclusions Different microbe control grades affect the body weight, hematology and serum biochemistry, expression of immunoglobulin and development of main organs in laboratory pigs.

ABSTRACT

In order to go deeply into the researches on the theory of hemodynamics for interventional treatment of lung cancer, we have designed a simulating experimental system. Using the experimental system, we can simulate the operation process and test the effect of drug infusion under a variety of physiological parameters. The parameters that admit of adjustment are: cardiac output, blood pressure of aorta, waveform of pressure, pulse period, blood flow in bronchial artery and different types of catheter, injecting velocity, injecting technique, etc. In addition, the entrance position and blood vessel diameter of small embranchment artery can be changed. In this paper are presented the application of our pH-testing method to natural infusion region and the determined representational shape and size.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the internet game addiction disorder and influential factors in the middle school students of Guangzhou. Methods:A total of 900 middle school students of Guangzhou selected by cluster sampling were investigated with unified questionnaires. Results:Of the middle school students tested,4.9%were diagnosed internet game addiction. There were remarkable differences of the addiction to network game in demography variable, such as age, educational background of father and family economic situation.Between online game addicts and non-addicts,there were significant discrepancies in social support, subjective support, use of support,self-identity,self investment today, and parent-child conflict.Gender, subjective support,parent-child conflict, self investment now, educational background of father and family economic situation entered the regression model. Conclusion:Internet game addiction is closely associated with social support,parent-child relationship, and self-identity.

ABSTRACT

rabbits were divided randomly into control group ( n =8),pseudo operation group ( n =8) and chitin group ( n =8) with the rabbit iliac artery restenotic models The chitin tubes were localized on the adventitia of restenotic iliac arteries in chitin group but not in pseudo operation group The determinations for the area of neointima,neointima/media area ratio,neointima/media thickness ratio and 3 H TdR incoperation demenstrate that chitin can inhibit intimal proliferation of restenotic iliac artery This findings suggest that local adventitial chitin administration may be effective for the prevention of restenosis
