ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: The aim: The purpose of this article was to study the impact of Tae-Bo on the development of motor potential of students and its effectiveness in the process of extracurricular activities. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Materials and methods: The experiment was conducted in the conditions of the educational process. An experimental group was formed, which was engaged in the traditional educational program of physical education and additionally three times a week, attended training in Tae-Bo. The control group was engaged in the traditional educational program on physical education in HEI. The following methods were used in the work to solve the research tasks: method of analysis and generalization of literature; surveys, questionnaires; methods of pedagogical observation and experiment; method of testing indicators of physical fitness; methods of mathematical statistics. RESULTS: Results: When comparing the indicators of external manifestation of physical qualities of students of control (n = 60) and experimental (n = 60) groups at the end of the formative experiment, statistically significant differences (p <0.05 and p <0.01) were recorded in tests to determine coordination, strength, endurance, flexibility. CONCLUSION: Conclusions: Thus, the introduction of a developed Tae-Bo training system in the extra-curricular process of HEI students contributed to the positive development of their motor abilities. Experimental work allowed to determine the place and role of modern Tae-Bo training in the extra-curricular process of HEI students.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: The aim is to carry out a comparative analysis of the effectiveness of the traditional system of physical education of students in higher pedagogical education establishments and authors'methodical system of fitness technologies application. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Materials and methods: Two hundred thirty two students of Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University (n=232; 88 males and 144 females) aged from 18 to 20 years old took part in the research. Two experimental groups (EG, 47 males and 71 females) and two control groups (CG, 41 males and 73 females) were formed. Students were offered thefollowing modern types of fitness technologies: power fitness, aerobics, Pilates, swimming, yoga, tae-bo. RESULTS: Results: The positive effect of the authors' methodical system of fitness technologies application in comparison with the traditional system of physical education has been achieved - according to all the criteria of the research, the indicators of EG students (both males and females) are significantly better than those of the students from CG. CONCLUSION: Сonclusions: It proves the necessity for the modern fitness technologies application in the educational process of physical education in higher education pedagogical establishments with the aim of improving the state of physical fitness, health of students and increasing their motivation for independent physical exercises and healthy lifestyles in the future.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: The aim: The article examines the health-saving competencies of fitness technologies usage during physical education classes. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Materials and methods: Experimental work was carried out in three stages, each of which was characterized by certain goals and objectives, corresponding forms and methods of research organization. To determine the formation of each of the studied components, we used complex of valid diagnostic techniques. RESULTS: Results: Implementation of the methodological system significantly influenced on general level of motivational, cognitive, activity and reflexive component formation, which significantly improved, compared with the students of control groups who studied under the traditional system. Evaluation of students' competence in applying fitness technologies showed a high efficiency of the introduced methodological system. CONCLUSION: Conclusions: The introduced methodical system of fitness technologies application contributed to increase of the level of students' preparedness by criteria of organizational, communicative, perceptual, speech abilities to fitness technologies, general cultural level, social activity and their involvement in healthy lifestyle. At the same time, the formation of competences in fitness technology usage contributed to the creation of new content of the main components of the methodological system.
