ABSTRACT

Recurrent abdominal pain (RAP) is a common disease that occurs in childhood and it seems to be a difficult clinical problem. In presented research the analysis of recurrent abdominal pain causes were considered. There were 175 hospitalized children in age of 4-16 that suffered from RAP. Reassuming the observation--it was confirmed that the most common causes of the RAP were both alimentary and urinary system diseases. Recurrent abdominal pain occurs mainly in a group of over 11 years old, mainly female children. There were 11% of cases which the causes of the RAP were unknown.
