[Use of the CO2 laser beam in combined maxillofacial operations]. / Primenenie lazernogo lucha-CO2 pri kombinirovannykh cheliustno-litsevykh operatsiiakh.

A CO2 laser ray of 80-100 vt was used in performing combined operations for malignant tumors of the maxillofacial area. The observations have shown the "block" operations performed with the CO2 laser ray to have many advantages over similar operations fulfilled by a traditional method.

[Correction of postoperative combined defects of the facial median zone with Filatov's flap]. / Zameshchenie filatovskim steblem posleoperatsionnykh sochetannykh defektov srednei zony litsa.

The author describes a technique of the substitution by the Filatov's graft of postoperative associated defects of the face median zone in 3 patients. Satisfactory results of the operation create prerequisites for a greater volume of the operation on patients with spreaded forms of malignant tumors in the maxillofacial area.

[Method of primary plastic repair of the orbital floor using a cheek flap after combined operations on the face]. / Metod pervichnoi plastiki dna glaznitsy shchechnym loskutom posle kombinirovannykh operatsii na litse.

The author proposes to use a cheek cellulo-cutaneous flap with a pedicle at a zygomatic arch for the formation of the orbit bottom and periorbital fatty tissue in operated patients. Positive results were obtained in 8 patients. The primary plasty of the orbit bottom with a cheek flap is recommended to patients after ablation of the upper jaw and surrounding tissues.
