ABSTRACT

An integrated evaluation is presented of the quality of level medical services in patients with cardiovascular diseases in in- and outpatients according to a method developed at the Leningrad Research Institute of Cardiology. Results of the analysis allowed to work out measures for removing drawbacks in the therapeutic-diagnostic process, organization and methodical work. Implementation of these methods improved the quality of medical services to this category of patients.

ABSTRACT

The authors observed 57 patients with primary multiple tumors of various localization. The intervital diagnosis of polyneoplasms was established in 37 patients, the second tumor was found in 20 of 57 cases at the autopsy. 2 neoplastic nodes were found in 52 cases, 3-- in 4 cases, in one case 6 primary multiple neoplasms were found in the sigmoid colon (5 malignant polyps and 1 ulceroinfiltrative carcinoma).

ABSTRACT

The paper is concerned with the use of peridural anesthesia (PA) in operations for struma in a considerable size and retrosternal localization of the latter, thyrotoxicosis, grave concomitant lesions. The authors have employed PA in 12 patients, in 2 of them in association with endotracheal narcosis, in 9 in combination with neuroleptoanalgesia (NLA), and in 1 postoperatively to liquidate successfully the laryngeal mucosa edema, developed following surgery for struma performed under endotracheal narcosis.
