ABSTRACT

The aim of our research was the elaboration of acute adhesive small bowel obstruction model and further study of pathomorphological changes of small bowel and peritoneum in experiment. The study was carried out on 40 rats which were done suturing of sero-serous small bowel stiches and modelling of angulations of small bowel with the use of mechanical and implantation factors of peritoneal adhesive disease development according to the worked out by us technique. The suggested experimental model allows modelling the acute adhesive small bowel obstruction just on the 3rd day of the experiment and specifying some aspects of adhesion formation in peritoneum under pathomorphological study.

ABSTRACT

PURPOSE: To compare film thickness of adhesive resin cement and dental composite resins after they are preheated with hot air. MATERIAL AND METHODS: The film thickness was measured using adhesive resin cement Variolink esthetic (Ivoclar-Vivadent, Liechtenstein), micro-hybrid composite Enamel (Micerium, Germany) and nanofilled composite Estelite sigma quick (Tokuyama Dental, Japan) at different temperatures. RESULTS: The film thickness of the Variolink esthetic at room temperature was 23 µm, and the dental composites after preheating them with hot air and applying adhesive on both surfaces to be joined produced the following results: Estelite 62 µm and Enamel 25 µm. CONCLUSION: As a result of the study, it was found that the proposed method allows one to achieve a film thickness for high-viscosity composites comparable to the film thickness of composite cements.

ABSTRACT

In article presented results of the study of basic levels of regulatory cytokines in patients with various forms of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection. Analysis of the dynamics of cytokine profile in patients with EBV infection revealed the opposite changes studied synthesis of proinflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokines, which was the basis for the establishment of the four types of immune response. The findings confirm the existence of cytokine imbalance with EBV infection. The established types of immune responses indicate inadequate cell humoral reactivity in a long persistence of EBV, which manifests a tendency to suppression of cell-mediated and humoral immune response enhancement mechanisms and displayed in the clinical and biochemical manifestations of the disease, and also leads to prolonged undulating course.
