Pesquisa com células-tronco no Brasil: a produção de um novo campo científico / Stem cell research in Brazil: the production of a new field of science

Resumo O artigo apresenta um panorama das pesquisas com células-tronco no Brasil, a partir de levantamento bibliográfico de artigos de pesquisadores brasileiros, publicados no início do século XXI. A análise das produções evidenciou três eixos centrais na abordagem da temática: o âmbito de fomentos destinados a investigações brasileiras com células-tronco; os estudos pré-clínicos e clínicos realizados no país; e análises socioantropológicas com foco em questões éticas e legais. O artigo aponta aspectos controversos na construção desse campo científico, especialmente vinculados à mídia, como propagadora de valores e determinadas representações sociais, com destaque para novas modalidades de esperança. Nesse cenário de incertezas, encontram-se enfermos e familiares, mobilizados pelas promessas da “medicina do futuro”.

Abstract Based on a review of the literature published in the early twenty-first century by Brazilian researchers, the article offers an overview of stem cell research in Brazil. Three central topics were detected in these papers: (1) the funding of stem cell research in Brazil; (2) preclinical and clinical trials in Brazil; and (3) social anthropological analysis focused on ethical and legal matters. Our review identifies controversial questions in the construction of this scientific field, especially issues involving the media as a disseminator of values and of certain social representations, where new kinds of hope figure large. Within this climate of uncertainty, we find patients and their families energized by the promises of the “medicine of the future.”

Os sentidos do Acolhimento: um estudo sobre o acesso à atenção básica em saúde no Rio de Janeiro / The User Embracement senses: a study about the access to primary health care services in Rio de Janeiro

O Ministério da Saúde estabelece que a recepção na atenção básica ocorra pela modalidade de assistência nomeada Acolhimento com Classificação de Risco. Fruto da Política Nacional de Humanização, o Acolhimento preconiza novas sensibilidades, com ênfase em dimensões afetivas e relacionais. Contudo, a reorganização do acesso sustenta-se nas regras da Classificação de Risco, um dispositivo racionalizado, em prol da otimização dos serviços. Frente ao descompasso entre prescrições normativas e experiências singulares, realizou-se observação participante na porta de entrada de uma unidade básica da cidade do Rio de Janeiro com o objetivo de apreender as estratégias mobilizadas pelos atores sociais envolvidos - usuários, profissionais de saúde e gestores. A análise do material de campo evidencia o Acolhimento como categoria polissêmica, que se constitui na tensão entre racionalidade e experiência, controle e cuidado.

The Brazilian Health Ministry establishes that the entrance to primary health care services must occur through the User Embracement with Risk Classification. Product of the National Humanization Policy, the User Embracement advocates for new sensibilities with emphasis on affective and relational dimensions. However, the reorganization of the access by the guidelines of the Risk Classification institutionalizes a rational device in favor of optimizing care offers. Considering the gap between normative prescriptions and individual experiences, an observation was performed in the entrance of a primary care service of Rio de Janeiro with the aim to apprehend the strategies deployed by the social actors involved - users, health professionals and managers. The analysis of the material collected in the field illustrates the User Embracement as a polysemic category constitutes by a tension between two poles: rationality and experience, control and care.

O lugar da psicologia no hospital geral / The place of Psychology in the general hospital

O presente trabalho tem como objetivo central propiciar uma reflexão acerca do lugar da Psicologia no hospital geral, a partir de divergências encontradas em Serviços dessa especialidade, nesse contexto institucional no Brasil. Assim, apresenta a Psicossomática enquanto uma ideologia surgida na Medicina em oposição à visão puramente organicista dessa categoria. Dessa concepção derivou diretamente a Psicologia Médica, como modelo de prática assistencial a ser aplicado por profissionais de saúde, dentre eles psicólogos, no sentido de otimizar a tarefa médica. Paralelamente, surgiu, exclusivamente no Brasil, a chamada Psicologia Hospitalar, a partir da atuação de psicólogos em hospitais gerais, que, alicerçados em bases teóricas e técnicas adquiridas na formação acadêmica geral, estabeleceram uma nova modalidade de intervenção. Por fim, apresenta a Psicologia da Saúde, enquanto um sub-campo da Psicologia já mundialmente determinado, que se encontra, no atual panorama brasileiro, no alvo das discussões em relação à Psicologia Hospitalar(AU)

The present work has as central objective office to propitiate a reflection concerning the place of Psychology in the general hospital, from divergences found in Services of this specialty, in this institutional context in Brazil. Thus, it presents the Psychosomatic one while an ideology appeared in the Medicine in opposition to the purely organics vision of this category. From this conception it derived Medical Psychology directly, as model of practical to be applied by health professionals, amongst them psychologists, in the direction to optimize the medical task. Parallel, it appeared, exclusively in Brazil, the Hospital Psychology, from the performance of psychologists in general hospitals, that based on theoretical bases and techniques acquired in the general academic formation, had established a new modality of intervention. Finally, it presents the Health Psychology, while a sub-carrier of the Psychology already world-wide determined, that is found, in the current Brazilian context, in the target of the quarrels in relation to Hospital Psychology(AU)
