ABSTRACT

In work it is investigated influences of pulse categories on a metabolism of not purebred rats in dynamics. Research spent to the first day, through six, in twelve day after influence. It is shown, that category crown 5 of impulses and spark's category 100 of impulses, cause increase oxidations lipids for the sixth day and decrease oxidations lipids in plasma of blood and erythrocytes by twelfth day after influence. Influence category crown 50 of impulses and spark category 300 of impulses leads to increase of a level oxidations lipids on membranes erythrocytes. Categories crown 5 and 50 impulses cause dynamic changes of resistance erythrocytes. Decrease in stability for the sixth day and increase of stability erythrocytes by twelfth day after influence categorys crown is shown by pulse categories.

ABSTRACT

There have been great political, social and economic changes in Bulgaria since 1990 with higher incidences of syphilis when compared with the previously controlled morbidity of syphilis. There has been a 7-fold increase in 1998 compared with 1990. The male/female ratio remained the same 1.2:1. A higher number of cases was reported in cities than in villages and small towns, 80.68% in 1990; 73.4% in 1998. The number of employed patients with syphilis has decreased during the years--from 75.5% in 1990 to 44% in 1998, with a corresponding increase in syphilis in the unemployed. The age group at highest risk is 20-24 years, 28.7% in 1991; 24% in 1998. The least affected group are those older than 55--the incidence being 6.34% in 1990; 2.6% in 1997 and 4% in 1998. The prevalence of the different stages of early infection remained the same. The incidence of congenital syphilis increased from 1 in 1990 and 1991 to 21 in 1996, 29 in 1997 and 35 in 1998.

ABSTRACT

PIP: At the Higher Medical Institute, Sofia, Bulgaria, 30 rosacea sufferers (25-45 years) were treated with the oral contraceptive Ovosiston (3 mgm chlormadinon acetate, .1 mgm mestranol), for 7-18 months during which local therapy was considerably diminished. Before treatment historical and clinical abnormalities of hormonal origin were found in 21, perioral dermatitis in 8, dry skin in 4, seborrhoea in 11, gastro-intestinal disorders in 8, radiological abnormalities in 8 and abnormal vaginal smears in 6. "Clinical recovery" or "great improvement" (complete disappearance of papulo-pustular lesions, with diminution of the more resistant erythema) occurred in 18, a number exceeding results usually obtained with standard treatment. No relationship was established between therapeutic response and duration of disorder; but effect of treatment and severity of rash were directly related. Maximal effect occurred during the fourth month of therapy. Women with endocrine disorders were most readily responsive to Ovosiston treatment, with 70% recovering compared with 30% of patients without such disorders. 2 case reports are cited. Inhibitory effect of Ovosiston on sebaceous secretion may have caused improvement in patients with marked seborrhoea. Further investigation with hormonal preparations of different composition and long-term follow-up of patients is recommended.^ieng
