ABSTRACT
Two cases of symptomatic, surgically proven left paraduodenal hernias were shown with computed tomography (CT) imaging. A small bowel loop was seen behind the pancreatic tail in one case, and a ring-oriented bowel loop was shown between the transverse colon and the left adrenal gland in the other.

A case of suprahepatic membranous obstruction of the inferior vena cava is presented. A congenital anomaly of the Eustachian valve with superimposed thrombosis is the probable cause. The diagnosis is made by cavography.

A case of spontaneous closure of traumatic arteriovenous fistula with large false aneurysm is reported. The diagnosis was proved by follow-up angiographic study. The closure of the aneurysm is explained by thrombosis followed by fibrosis with occlusion at the venous orifice.

Two cases of complicating hemorrhage resulting from typhoid fever which were demonstrated by selective superior mesenteric arteriography are presented. The site of bleeding was at the caecum which is an uncommon site in typhoid hemorrhage. In both cases there was failure to stop the bleeding by using a vasopressin infusion. However, arteriography proved very helpful in locating the site of bleeding and vasopressin infusion can still be recommended to decrease intraluminal hemorrhage and improve the general condition of the patient before undergoing operation.
