The current basic data about innate immunity and its activation by pattern recognition receptors are briefly presented in this review.

In this review we summarize the role of glycosaminoglycans and proteoglycans in pathogenesis of atherosclerosis and possibilities for correction of lesions of atherosclerotic vessels via influence on their metabolism.

A study was made into effects of food supplements EKSO, Biotrit C, SPLAT and their combinations on the level of health in young persons (students, n = 75) using the G. L. Apanasenko's method and its modification. the administration of Biotrit C (a drug obtained from wheat germs), EKSO (containing soy isoflavones) and their combinations have been found to raise the level of health in those subjects enrolled in the study. The results secured permit recommending Biotrit C and EKSO as adaptogens.
