ABSTRACT

Presently, it is imperative to obtain a maximum survival rate of follicular units during large-scale transplantation, as the result of hair transplantation depends not only on the quantity of implanted grafts but on the number of survival rate of follicular units in-vitro in continuous moisture during the extended process of hair transplantation. To provide this, prepared grafts are kept in a cold saline solution. The only technological stage of hair transplantation during which grafts exist without a preserving solution is the immediate process of implantation. At this time, grafts placed on the surgeon's gloves are subjected to the harmful drying influences. For exclusion of grafts dehydratation during implantation, minimization crashing injury and shortening of the operation time we have recommended simple adaptation of a so-called Container Method. The goal of this work was the introduction of Container Method and estimation of it's effectiveness in large hair transplantation sessions. Container Method allows reducing grafts dehydratation, iatrogenic injury and warming during implantation. According to clinical observations using above mentioned method gives reduction of operation time by 41%. That fact that containers are very simple adaptations and don't require staff's special training gives a good opportunity to use them widely in the future in hair transplant megassesions.

ABSTRACT

Activity of liminal and membrane enzymes and morphologic state of small intestinal mucosa were studied in experimental acute occlusive ileus in rats. It was established that degenerative alterations of intestinal mucosa epithelium above the site of obstruction are more pronounced than in the distal part. The activity of membrane enzymes (invertase) remained unaltered during 72 hours after the obturation, however, serious morphologic damage of the intestinal mucosa epithelium and sharp suppression of the liminal digestion were observed.

ABSTRACT

In dogs with multiple fistulae the rate of absorption of nutrients from enteral lumen using different nutrient mixtures, revealed that the composition of chyme at the entrance into small intestine is homeostased within a certain range of values differing from the diet. A considerable increase of some nutrient in the diet leads to an increase of its content in the chyme and to considerable acceleration of absorption from the gastroduodenal part.

ABSTRACT

Morpho-functional changes in the intestine after application of highly caloric nutritional mixtures of different composition have been investigated in experiments on polyfistulous dogs in autoperfusion regimen. It was shown that in case of "element" mixture application the impairment of intestinal function is accompanied by morphological changes in epitheliocyte structure and intravascular disturbances. The optimal conditions of nutrient assimilation were revealed, using highly caloric mixtures with basic nutrient content and poly-, oligo- and monomer rations proportional to chyme.

ABSTRACT

The enteral probe feeding was used in 60 patients operated on organs of the abdominal cavity in planned order. The individual nutrition media were composed with special reference to metabolic disorders and the functional state of the gastro-intestinal tract. It helped to make an adequate correction of metabolic disorders and facilitated early normalization of motor activity of the gastro-intestinal tract.
