ABSTRACT
A study was made of the time spin-grid T1 and spin-spin T2 of NMR-relaxation of the blood serum of healthy individuals. These parameters were shown not to depend on age and sex but to differ from such parameters in patients, especially cancer patients.

A study was made of the levels of T1 and T2 of NMR-relaxation of the blood serum of 197 healthy person, 180 patients without a history of malignant tumors and in 345 cancer patients with tumors of different sites. The above parameters did not depend on the patients' sex and age. T1 and T2 values in the cancer patients were much higher than in the patients without tumors and still much higher than in the healthy subjects, and depended on tumor spreading and site. The above values could be probably used for the control of therapeutic efficacy in cancer patients.
