ABSTRACT
In examination of 72 patients with hemophilia before and after the orthopedic operations, the increase in the content of the T- and B-lymphocytes, circulating immune complexes, and reduction in the number of the large granule-containing lymphocytes were established.

The author analyzes results of splenectomy in 20 patients with hairy cell leukosis. The importance of cytochemical investigations for the differential diagnosis is emphasized. Hematological indices normalized within two weeks after removal of the spleen. It is recommended to perform the operation of splenectomy in all patients with hairy cell leukosis.

After the performance of therapeutical plasmapheresis in the blood of the patients with acute pancreatitis, the concentrations of bilirubin, urea, creatinine++, the plasma toxicity decreased. The use of plasmapheresis in the complex of intensive therapy permits to reduce considerably endotoxemia, facilitates the effectiveness of treatment.

The authors used gravitation plasmapheresis in 153 patients with different diseases and developed and substantiated principles of correcting therapy based on the combination of different transfusion media. The use of transfusion maintenance in plasmapheresis results in considerably less side reactions and complications.
