ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVES: To study an effect of immunomodulatory therapy with cycloferon on some immunological parameters in patients with depression. MATERIALS AND METHODS: It was examined 192 patients with recurrent depressive disorders. All patients were randomized into two groups -- main group (98 patients) and comparison group (94 patients). Both groups received standard treatment with antidepressants and antipsychotics in ambulatory conditions. Patients of the main group additionally received cycloferon. RESULTS: Before treatment, there was an increase in concentrations of circulatory immune complexes (CIC), mainly due to most pathogenic average molecular (11S-19S) and small molecular (<11S) fractions, in both groups of the patients. A direct correlation between the degree of the severity of the disease and the degree of changes in immunological parameters was noted. CONCLUSIONS: Inclusion of cycloferon in the complex treatment had a positive effect on immunological parameters and led to the normalization of CIC levels and their fraction content.

ABSTRACT

The influence Reamberin® and Cycloferon® concentration "average molecules" in the serum of patients with the recurrent depressive disorders (RDD) was investigated. It was set that the use of these drugs helps to normalize the concentration of "average molecules". which indicates that the elimination of the syndrome of "metabolic" intoxication. Based on the data, we can consider it appropriate inclusion Reamberin® and Cycloferon® in the therapeutic treatment of patients with RDR.

ABSTRACT

The 160 patients with paranoid schizophrenia (PSH) with neuroleptic therapeutic resistance (TR) was investigated. The 90 (basic group) patients got of modern detoxic and metabolically active preparation reamberin and immunotropic facilities cycloferon combination additionally to psychotropic preparations and 70 patients (comparison group) - only the generally accepted therapy. Positive influence of reamberin and cycloferon combination was set on clinical states at the patients of PSH such as disease remission, and endogenous toxicosis syndrome liquidation. Positive influence of this preparations combination was rationed on immunological indexes, characterizing composition and functional activity of cellular immunity.
