ABSTRACT
We describe here a 35-year-old Japanese woman with mycosis fungoides (MF) who developed numerous, rapidly-growing, seborrheic keratoses on the front of her neck and chest. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first reported case of MF with Leser-Trélat sign from Japan.

A grandfather and granddaughter suffering from sporotrichosis were reported. It is thought that they might have been infected from the same source of Sporothrix schenckii (S. schenckii).

A statistical survey of malignant skin tumors has been carried out involving the outpatients seen at the Dermatological Clinic of Shimane Medical University Hospital during the period between October, 1979 and October, 1984. Out of 9,702 patients seen, 51 were found to have a malignant skin tumor or, statistically, 0.53% of all patients. The number and type of the malignant skin tumor were as follows: squamous cell carcinoma, 16; basal cell epithelioma, 7; Bowen's disease, 6; Paget's disease, 1; a metastatic carcinoma of the skin, 4; a malignant melanoma, 5; a malignant lymphoma, 10; leukemia, 1 and a multicentric reticulohistiocytoma, 1. reticulohistiocytoma, 1.

Benign esophageal tumors concomitant with esophageal cancer are sometimes observed, however, it is rare that esophageal cancer is associated at the surface of the leiomyoma as a submucosal tumor. We report a 59-year-old man with a polypoid esophageal cancer. The polypoid tumor, 0.6 X 0.7 X 1.3 cm in size, was removed in 1976; histological findings showed that a large amount of the tumor was leiomyoma and that squamous cell cancer was associated at the surface of the leiomyoma. After polypectomy, he experienced recurrence and radical surgery was performed in 1981; histologically, the resected specimen showed early esophageal cancer.

Lymphocyte activity of patients with gastric cancer and its relation to the stage of cancer were studied. PHA response of lymphocytes from patients with gastric cancer was decreased markedly even in early stage of cancer. The PHA-stimulated lympho-cytotoxicity was not impaired in all stages of the disease. Spontaneous lymphocyte-mediated cytotoxicity showed a tendency to decrease as the cancer stage advanced. The cytotoxic activity of the supernatants from lymphocytes cultured without PHA was significantly high in the advanced stage of gastric cancer.
