ABSTRACT

Competitive solid-phase enzyme immunoassay of gidasepam (a benzodiazepine) in the urine with chemiluminescent detection has been developed. The sensitivity of analysis for gidasepam is 10 ng/ml. Comparative measurements of benzodiazepines in the urine of patients abusing these agents by polarization fluorescence and the proposed method showed good coincidence of the results. The results demonstrate the possibility of using this method in medicine and narcology in combination with other instrumental methods.

ABSTRACT

The levels of natural antibodies against catecholamines in 138 patients with cardiovascular diseases was studied and the comparative analysis of influence of antiatherosclerotic diets with different origin of PUFA omega-3 on dynamic of these parameters was made. For the first time discovered universal action of diets with PUFA omega-3 vegetable and animal origin on parameters of humoral immunity: in case of primary excess of norm of the contents of natural antibodies to adrenaline, noradrenaline and dopamine as a result of treatment these parameters were reduced or did not change; and at is primary a low their level--parameters increased in most cases. The greatest immunocorrection effect was rendered by diet, enriched PUFA omega-3 of freshwater fishes fat.

ABSTRACT

Significant disturbances of immune regulation of prostaglandine metabolism were found in patients with hypertension and obesity. Use of antisclerotic diet with low sodium contents promoted positive changes of clinical symptoms of diseases, in particular normalizations of process of immune regulation of prostaglandine metabolism connected with formation of natural antibodies.

ABSTRACT

AIM: Enzyme immunoassay (EIA) determination of the level of natural antibodies (n-Ab) to catecholamines in patients with metabolic disturbances and cardiovascular diseases, correlation between content of n-Ab to these bioregulators and clinical diagnosis, biochemical indices. MATERIALS AND METHODS: EIA with specially synthetized artificial antigens was used to determine n-Ab to catecholamines (adrenaline, noradrenaline, dopamin) in 41 patients with cardiovascular diseases and metabolic disturbances (ischemic heart disease, essential hypertension, hyperlipoproteinemia) and in 10 healthy subjects (donors, controls). RESULTS: Changes in the levels of antibodies to catecholamines correspond to the clinical diagnosis. Interrelations exist between n-Ab to catecholamines and biochemical parameters in the disease. CONCLUSION: The trends in the amount of n-Ab to catecholamines are a unique marker of metabolic disturbances of these endogenic substances and can be used in diagnosis.

ABSTRACT

Solid-phase enzyme immunoassay (EIA) for detecting natural antibodies to catecholamines (dopamine, adrenaline, and noradrenaline) has been developed. For this purpose catecholamine antigens were synthesized on polymeric matrix. Optimal conditions for EIA detecting antibodies to these antigens in the sera of donors and patients with schizophrenia and disseminated sclerosis were defined. The levels of antibodies to dopamine, adrenaline, and noradrenaline are constant in donors and shifted in the patients.

ABSTRACT

Competitive methods of enzyme immuno assay (EIA) for detecting simazine and atrazine were developed, and conditions providing optimal performance were found. EIA sensitivity was shown to increase by an order of magnitude if samples were preincubated with antibodies; chloride ions were omitted; a herbicide-peroxidase conjugate was treated with urea. In EIA using labelled antibodies sensitivities thresholds towards simazine and atrazine were 0.05 and 0.1 ng/ml, respectively. EIA took 1-2 h to be done. The methods developed might be applied for quality control of water.
