ABSTRACT
O objetivo deste trabalho foi relatar um caso clínico sobre a presença de reabsorção radicular externa após o reimplante dental em caso de avulsão, em uma criança do sexo feminino, com 8 anos de idade que sofreu avulsão do incisivo central superior direito com luxação intrusiva associada à fratura de esmalte e dentina do incisivo central superior esquerdo. Procedeu-se à limpeza e modelagem dos canais radiculares, seguidas de duas trocas de hidróxido de cálcio, em intervalos de sessenta dias, a fim de controlar o processo reabsortivo. Após esse período, concluímos que, mesmo com a presença de reabsorção, os dentes puderam ser mantidos em função, ajudando no restabelecimento estético, funcional e equilíbrio psicológico da paciente.
This study reports a case on the presence of external root resorption after reimplantation in case of dental avulsion in a child is female, with 8 years of age who suffered avulsion of the right upper central incisor with dislocation associated with intrusive fracture of enamel and dentin, the upper left central incisor. There was the cleaning and shaping of root canals, followed by two exchanges of calcium hydroxide, at intervals of sixty days in order to control the process reabsortivo. After that, we find that, even with the presence of reabsorption the teeth could be kept in line, helping to restore aesthetic, functional and psychological balance of the patient.
