ABSTRACT
Objetivo: analizar la atención enfermera en España a las familias con personas dependientes. Métodos: se realizó una revisión integradora de la literatura científica en las bases de datos PubMed, Scopus, CINAHL, Lilacs y Dialnet utilizando la estrategia (nursing OR nursing care) AND (intervent* OR assistance) AND (family OR family caregivers) AND dependent). Fueron incluidos estudios escritos en inglés o español y que estuviesen publicados desde el año 2011 hasta 2018, que fueran investigaciones o revisiones. Posteriormente tres investigadores llevaron a cabo el cribado y la selección de artículos. Resultados: las intervenciones enfermeras a familias con personas dependientes mejoraban la salud familiar y disminuían el síndrome del cansancio del rol del cuidador. Se necesita captación temprana y proactiva de personas cuidadoras, realización de técnicas psicoeducativas individualizadas que sean costo-eficientes como la técnica de resolución de problemas, que ayuden a asumir el nuevo rol. La implantación de la enfermera gestora de casos (EGC) mejora la salud familiar, ofrece una visión integradora de la familia, mejora la comunicación entre niveles de atención y aumenta la accesibilidad al sistema sanitario. Conclusión: la atención enfermera liderada por la EGC ha cambiado hacia un enfoque donde la salud familiar es el centro, mejorando la asistencia, aportando transversalidad y eficiencia, utilizando un lenguaje e intervenciones propios apoyados en las TIC y ofreciendo mayor accesibilidad y empoderamiento a la familia
Objective: to analyze nursing care in Spain for families with dependent persons. Methods: an integrative review of scientific literature was conducted in the following databases: PubMed, Scopus, CINAHL, Lilacs and Dialnet, using the strategy (nursing OR nursing care) AND (intervent* OR assistance) AND (family OR family caregivers) AND (dependent). The review included research or review studies written in English or Spanish, and published from 2011 to 2018. Three researchers conducted the subsequent screening and selection of articles. Results: nursing interventions in families with dependent persons led to an improvement in family health, and reduced the caregiver fatigue syndrome. An early and proactive screening for caregivers is required, and conducting individualized psycho-educative techniques which are cost-efficient, such as the problem-solving technique, which will help them to accept their new role. Implementing the role of the Nurse Case Manager (NCM) will improve family health, offer an integrating vision of the family, improve communication between levels of care, and increase access to the health system. Conclusion: nursing care lead by the NCM has changed towards an approach focused on family health, improving patient care, offering transversality and efficiency, using their own language and interventions supported by ICTs, and offering better access and empowerment to the family
