Post-Kidney Transplant Brief Psychosis in a Patient With MYH9-Related Disease: A Case Report.

This article describes a case of new-onset brief psychosis after kidney transplantation in a young patient with a history of MYH9-related disease diagnosed in early childhood. Five days after the kidney transplantation, the patient showed some bizarre behaviors after discharge, such as leaving home at night without any notice and jumping out of the moving car. The patient was hospitalized with a risk for suicidal ideation. The patient had no previous psychological problems other than a depressive mood disorder at 14 years of age.
