ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of moxibustion combined with intermittent urethral catheterization on vesical function in the patient of neurogenic vesical dysfunction. METHODS: Seventy-six cases were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, 38 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine intermittent urethral catheterization and the observation group with the intermittent urethral catheterization and moxibustion on Guanyuan (CV 4), Mingmen (GV 4), Zusanli (ST 36), etc. Changes of residual urine volume, white cell count and the balance state of the urinary bladder were selected as the indexes of therapeutic effect and the therapeutic effects were compared between the two groups. RESULTS: The total effective rate was 97.4% in the observation group and 79.0% in the control group with a significant difference between the two groups (P < 0.05); after treatment, there were significant differences between the two groups in the residual urine volume, the bladder volume and the case numbers reaching to the functional balance state of bladder (all P < 0.05), and there was no significant difference between the two groups in white cell count change (P > 0.05). CONCLUSION: Moxibustion combined with intermittent urethral catheterization can significantly improve vesical function in the patient of neurogenic vesical dysfunction, reducing residual urine volume, increasing volume of bladder, promoting the balance state of vesical function, but it is basically same as intermittent urethral catheterization in prevention of urinary infection and therapeutic effect.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of the Sanxianxinli capsule against fatigue and viability of mice. METHOD: The mouse shinning, burden swimming, heat-resistant, cold resistant and tolerating anoxia were detected by experiment. RESULT: The results showed that the Sanxansinli capsule have function of improveing the stamina, cold resistant, heat-resistant and tolerating anoxia, and prolonging were the survival time in cold, high temperature and anoxia. CONCLUSION: The Sanxianxinli capsule have function against fatigue and can also improve the resistibility of body.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the change of pathologic morphology in superheat mice. METHOD: The superheat was used in the experinent. The pathologic morphology of thymus gland, spleen, liver and lung was observed by light microscope. RESULT: The histiocytes of thymus gland, spleen, liver and lung presented no changes in lesion, congestion and morphology. CONCLUSION: The Sanxian Xinli capsule have function of protecting the superheat mouse viscera.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To observe the rate of Zijin powder in inhibiting H22 mice solid and ascites liver cancer and the relation between quatity and effect. METHOD: The Kunming mics, transplanted by H22 liver cells, were divided into a model group, a cyclophosphamide group and three groups of Zijin powder in high dose, medium dose, and low dose. Then observation was made on the rate of Cancer. RESULT: The inhibiting rates of Zijin powder of three groups (high dose group, medium dose group and low dose group) for H22 mice solid liver cancer were 30.8%, 38.31% and 48.59% respectivily. The inhibiting rates of three groups of Zijin powder (low dose group, medium dose and high dose group) for H22 mice ascites liver cancer were 6.77%, 15.59% and 14.90 % respectivily. CONCLUSION: Zijin powder has better effect on H22 mice solid liver cancer, and its effect is greatly increasing with the increased dosage.
