JOURNAL/nrgr/04.03/01300535-202501000-00035/figure1/v/2024-05-14T021156Z/r/image-tiff Our previous study found that rat bone marrow-derived neural crest cells (acting as Schwann cell progenitors) have the potential to promote long-distance nerve repair. Cell-based therapy can enhance peripheral nerve repair and regeneration through paracrine bioactive factors and intercellular communication. Nevertheless, the complex contributions of various types of soluble cytokines and extracellular vesicle cargos to the secretome remain unclear. To investigate the role of the secretome and extracellular vesicles in repairing damaged peripheral nerves, we collected conditioned culture medium from hypoxia-pretreated neural crest cells, and found that it significantly promoted the repair of sensory neurons damaged by oxygen-glucose deprivation. The mRNA expression of trophic factors was highly expressed in hypoxia-pretreated neural crest cells. We performed RNA sequencing and bioinformatics analysis and found that miR-21-5p was enriched in hypoxia-pretreated extracellular vesicles of neural crest cells. Subsequently, to further clarify the role of hypoxia-pretreated neural crest cell extracellular vesicles rich in miR-21-5p in axonal growth and regeneration of sensory neurons, we used a microfluidic axonal dissociation model of sensory neurons in vitro, and found that hypoxia-pretreated neural crest cell extracellular vesicles promoted axonal growth and regeneration of sensory neurons, which was greatly dependent on loaded miR-21-5p. Finally, we constructed a miR-21-5p-loaded neural conduit to repair the sciatic nerve defect in rats and found that the motor and sensory functions of injured rat hind limb, as well as muscle tissue morphology of the hind limbs, were obviously restored. These findings suggest that hypoxia-pretreated neural crest extracellular vesicles are natural nanoparticles rich in miRNA-21-5p. miRNA-21-5p is one of the main contributors to promoting nerve regeneration by the neural crest cell secretome. This helps to explain the mechanism of action of the secretome and extracellular vesicles of neural crest cells in repairing damaged peripheral nerves, and also promotes the application of miR-21-5p in tissue engineering regeneration medicine.

ABSTRACT

The digital nucleic acid detection assay features the capability of absolute quantitation without the need for calibration, thereby facilitating the rapid identification of pathogens. Although several integrated digital nucleic acid detection techniques have been developed, there are still constraints in terms of automation and analysis throughput. To tackle these challenges, this study presents a digital-to-droplet microfluidic device comprising a digital microfluidics (DMF) module at the bottom and a droplet microfluidics module at the top. Following sample introduction, the extraction of nucleic acid and the dispensation of nucleic acid elution for mixing with the multiple amplification reagents are carried out in the DMF module. Subsequently, the reaction droplets are transported to the sample inlet of the droplet microfluidic module via a liquid outlet, and then droplet generation in four parallel units within the droplet microfluidics module is actuated by negative pressure generated by a syringe vacuum. The digital-to-droplet microfluidic device was employed to execute an integrated multiplex digital droplet nucleic acid detection assay (imDDNA) incorporating loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP). This assay was specifically designed to enable simultaneous detection of four uropathogens, namely, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Enterococcus faecalis. The entire process of the imDDNA is completed within 75 min, with a detection range spanning 5 orders of magnitude (9.43 × 10-2.86 × 104 copies µL-1). The imDDNA was employed for the detection of batched clinical specimens, showing a consistency of 91.1% when compared with that of the conventional method. The imDDNA exhibits simplicity in operation and accuracy in quantification, thus offering potential advantages in achieving rapid pathogen detection.

ABSTRACT

Direct borohydride fuel cell (DBFC) is considered a promising energy storage device due to its high theoretical cell voltage and energy density. For DBFC, an Au catalyst has been used as an anode for achieving an ideal eight-electron reaction. However, the poor activity of the Au catalyst for borohydride oxidation reaction (BOR) limits its large-scale application because of the weak BH4- adsorption. We found, by density functional theory calculations, that the adsorption of BH4- on the oxidized Au surface is stronger than that on the metallic Au surface, which can promote the process of the oxidation of BH4- to *BH3 during the BOR. Here, we reported an oleylamine-modified partially oxidized Au supported on carbon powder (AuC-OLA) with a stable oxidation state. The obtained catalyst delivered a high peak power density of 143 mW/cm2, which is 2 times higher than that of a commercial 40% AuC (Pretemek). The in situ Fourier transform infrared studies showed that the activity of AuC-OLA for BOR is ascribed to the enhanced adsorption for BH4- on the partially oxidized Au surface. These findings will promote the reasonable design of efficient Au electrocatalysts for DBFCs.

ABSTRACT

Integrated MFC-MBR systems effectively remove antibiotics and control the release of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs). However, the fouling layers on membranes can potentially act as reservoirs for ARGs. This study aims to elucidate the roles of membrane fouling layers and levels in influencing sulfamethoxazole (SMX) removal and ARGs control within an MFC-MBR system. Our findings demonstrate that low-intensity bioelectricity (400-500 mV) mitigates membrane fouling rates. The membrane fouling layer significantly contributes (39%-47%) to SMX removal compared to the cathode/anode zones. Higher extracellular polymeric substance (EPS) content and a lower protein/polysaccharide (PN/PS) ratio favor SMX removal by the membrane fouling layer. Across different levels of membrane fouling, the PN/PS ratio rather than EPS concentration plays a crucial role in SMX removal efficiency. The MFC-MBR with low fouling achieved superior SMX removal (69.1%) compared to medium (54.3%) and high fouling conditions (46.8%). The presence of ARGs in the membrane fouling layer increases with fouling formation, with intrinsic ARGs prevailing. Dense membrane fouling layers effectively retain ARGs, thereby reducing the risk of extracellular ARGs (eARGs) diffusion in effluents. These results provide insights into controlling ARGs in MFC-MBR systems and underscore the significant role of membrane fouling layers in antibiotics and ARGs removal.

Excess agricultural biomass waste is increasing rapidly, leading to many environmental and governance issues. Therefore, increased attention has been paid to the recycling and value-added application of agricultural biomass waste. In recent years, the research of agricultural biomass waste utilization and derived functional materials has mainly included the following two aspects: ① the extraction of natural polymers and value-added applications and ② the direct preparation of new carbon-based materials, including adsorption, catalysis, energy storage electrode, and composite functional materials. The conversion of agricultural biomass waste into functional materials has been gradually realized and widely used. To enable industrial-scale production and the quality and safety of agricultural biomass waste derivatives and to develop highly feasible and cost-effective biomass waste conversion methods should be the focus of future studies.

BACKGROUND: The role of diverse antibodies in mediating peripheral nerve injury in Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) is becoming clearer, but positivity for multiple antibodies in one case is uncommon. To our knowledge, this is the first case involving GBS with positive anti-sulfatide, anti-GT1a, and anti-GT1b antibodies. CASE SUMMARY: A 20-year-old female patient was admitted to the hospital due to weakness of limbs for 5 d, and deterioration of the weakness and muscle aches for 1 d. The patient's limbs were weak, but the tendon reflexes in the part of the limbs were normal. There was no comorbid peripheral nociception or deep sensory dysfunction. She was diagnosed with GBS and was discharged after receiving intravenous human immunoglobulin pulse therapy. CONCLUSION: In this article, the clinical manifestations, neurophysiological examination, and auxiliary examination findings of a GBS patient positive for multiple antibodies were analyzed to improve the identification of the disease by clinical physicians at an early stage.

ABSTRACT

Rheumatoid meningitis (RM) is a rare extra-articular manifestation of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) that has been increasingly recognized by neurologists. However, the diversity of its clinical manifestations makes its diagnosis difficult. RM does not have a unified diagnostic standard, and its link with RA needs to be studied further. Here we report two cases of RM without a history of RA. The first patient, an 80-year-old woman, presented with sudden unilateral limb weakness, with brain MR showing abnormal signals in the leptomeningeal of the right frontal parietal. Subarachnoid hemorrhage was excluded after imaging examination, and infectious meningitis was ruled out after cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) examination. The patient was diagnosed as having RM, she had increased levels of CCP and AKA, the markers of RA, but no history of the disease or other clinical manifestations of it. Another case, a 65-year-old man, was hospitalized with Bell's palsy. We found that he had intracranial imaging changes highly consistent with those characteristic of RM during his routine examination. Except for the left peripheral facial palsy, the patient had no other neurological signs or symptoms and no RA history. After a careful physical examination, we found no joint or other manifestations or serological abnormalities consistent with RA (RF, CCP, AKA, etc.). However, after excluding infection meningitis and considering the patient's unique imaging results, we diagnosed him as having RM. We report these two cases as references for clinical diagnosis and treatment of RM, providing a discussion of our rationale.

ABSTRACT

Poisson's ratio in auxetic materials shifts from typically positive to negative, causing lateral expansion during axial tension. This scale-independent characteristic, originating from tailored architectures, exhibits specific physical properties, including energy adsorption, shear resistance, and fracture resistance. These metamaterials demonstrate exotic mechanical properties with potential applications in several engineering fields, but biomedical applications seem to be one of the most relevant, with an increasing number of articles published in recent years, which present opportunities ranging from cellular repair to organ reconstruction with outstanding mechanical performance, mechanical conduction, and biological activity compared with traditional biomedical metamaterials. Therefore, focusing on understanding the potential of these structures and promoting theoretical and experimental investigations into the benefits of their unique mechanical properties is necessary for achieving high-performance biomedical applications. Considering the demand for advanced biomaterial implants in surgical technology and the profound advancement of additive manufacturing technology that are particularly relevant to fabricating complex and customizable auxetic mechanical metamaterials, this review focuses on the fundamental geometric configuration and unique physical properties of negative Poisson's ratio materials, then categorizes and summarizes auxetic material applications across some surgical departments, revealing efficacy in joint surgery, spinal surgery, trauma surgery, and sports medicine contexts. Additionally, it emphasizes the substantial potential of auxetic materials as innovative biomedical solutions in orthopedics and demonstrates the significant potential for comprehensive surgical application in the future.

The α-diimine-ligated Zn-Zn-bonded compound [K(THF)2]2[LZn-ZnL] (1, L = [(2,6-iPr2C6H3)NC(Me)]22-) displays diverse reactivities toward a variety of ketones. In the reaction of 1 with benzophenone or 4,4'-di-tert-butylbenzophenone, a multielectron transfer process was observed to give bimetallic (Zn/K) complexes with both ketyl radical fragments and C-C coupled pinacolate moieties (products 2 and 3). In contrast, treating 1 with 9-fluorenone only afforded pinacolate complex 5. Moreover, the reactions of 1 with N- or O-heterocycle-functionalized ketones, i.e., di(2-pyridyl)ketone, 2,2-pyrrolidinone, 9-xanthenone, or 10-methyl-9(10H)-acridone, were also carried out. Besides different transformations of the ketone moiety, the heteroatoms (nitrogen or oxygen) are also involved in coordination with zinc or potassium ions, yielding discrete aggregates or polymeric structures of products 6-9.

ABSTRACT

Objective: This study aims to investigate the agreement between the Huaxi Emotional Index (HEI) and the Nurses' Global Assessment of Suicide Risk (NGASR) in assessing high suicide risk and to explore the predictive value of HEI in identifying high suicide risk among patients with depression. Methods: Convenience sampling was used and 386 inpatients with depression were included in this cross-sectional study. All patients were admitted to the Mental Health Center, West China Hospital between June and December 2023. The inclusion criteria were as follows, a diagnosis of depression according to the International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision (ICD-10), age over 18, and completion of both NGASR and HEI assessments. According to the exclusion criteria, depression patients who had other comorbid mental disorders or those who had severe cognitive impairments and were unable to communicate effectively were excluded. The study was approved by the Biomedical Ethics Review Committee of West China Hospital (Approval No. 647, 2021). Demographic data such as age, sex, ethnicity, marital status, and educational attainment were collected using a self-designed questionnaire. Both the HEI and NGASR were applied to evaluate the patients. We conducted statistical analyses with SPSS 27, employing Spearman's rank correlation for correlation analysis, Kappa tests for consistency between the two instruments, and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves for evaluating the predictive performance of HEI scores for high suicide risk, with the optimal HEI cutoff value determined on the basis of the Youden Index. Results: The study included 386 depression inpatients with an average age of 32 years and an average length-of-stay of 14 days. Of these participants, 252 were female (65.3%) and 134 were male (34.7%). Regarding ethnicity, most of the participants were Han Chinese (89.4%), Tibetans accounted for 7.3%, and other minorities, 3.3%. Regarding marital status, 51.3% of the participants were married, 41.2% single, 6.5% divorced, and 1.0% widowed. Regarding educational attainment, 26.2% had an undergraduate or graduate education, 20.7% had junior college education, 24.8% had high school or secondary technical school education, and 28.2% had middle school education or less. The NGASR identified 57.3% of the participants as being at high suicide risk, while the HEI identified 53.6% as having severe emotional distress. There was a moderate agreement between the HEI and the NGASR scores, with a Kappa value of 0.518 ( P<0.001), indicating statistically significant differences. At an HEI score of 17, the Youden Index peaked at 0.52, predicting high suicide risk with a specificity of 76.36%, a sensitivity of 76.02%, and an area under the ROC curve of 0.829 (95% CI: 0.787-0.871), demonstrating statistically significant differences. Conclusion: HEI and NGASR demonstrate moderate agreement in assessing high suicide risk among depression patients. The HEI questionnaire effectively predicts high suicide risk in patients with depression, with 17 being the optimal cutoff value for assessing high suicide risk.

ABSTRACT

The development of point-of-care testing (POCT) for circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) is meaningful for the non-invasive cancers screening and diagnosis, particularly in resource-limited settings. The microfluidic paper-based analytical device (µPAD) provides an ideal platform, its application in ctDNA assays remains underexplored. In this work, a multifunctional µPAD was manufactured, which can enhance the efficiency and reduce the cost of ctDNA sensing. Additionally, a smartphone-based application analysis was fabricated for convenient, portable detection and colorimetric signal readout. Moreover, the novel oxidase-like MnB2 nanozyme was introduced in the sandwiches sensing strategy, utilizing its catalytic properties to effectively generate a colorimetric signal. The use of MnB2 nanozyme in sensing application is relatively novel, and its catalytic performance and mechanism was thoroughly evaluated via experiment and density functional theory (DFT) calculations. After optimizing the detection conditions, the proposed biosensor exhibited satisfactory results. Furthermore, the method was successfully used to detect ctDNA in tumor cell lysates and peripheral blood samples from tumor-bearing mice. The results were consistent with standard qPCR method, affirming the reliability of our POCT analysis device in ctDNA detection. Thus, this work not only provides a paper-based POCT device and intelligent analysis tool for portable cancers diagnosis, but it also paves a new application path for MnB2 nanozyme in the sensing filed.

ABSTRACT

Toxoplasma gondii( T. gondii or Tg), is an obligatory intracellular parasite with humans as its intermediate hosts. In recent years, significant correlations between T. gondii infection and schizophrenia have been reported, including the possible mediating mechanisms. Currently, mechanisms and hypotheses focus on central neurotransmitters, immunity, neuroinflammation, and epigenetics; however, the exact underlying mechanisms remain unclear. In this article, we review the studies related to T. gondii infection and schizophrenia, particularly the latest research progress. Research on dopamine (DA) and other neurotransmitters, the blood-brain barrier, inflammatory factors, disease heterogeneity, and other confounders is also discussed. In addition, we also summarized the results of some new epidemiological investigations.

ABSTRACT

Humans have substantially transformed the global land surface, resulting in the decline in variation in biotic communities across scales, a phenomenon known as "biological homogenization." However, different biota are affected by biological homogenization to varying degrees, but this variation and the underlying mechanisms remain little studied, particularly in soil systems. To address this topic, we used metabarcoding to investigate the biogeography of soil protists and their prey/hosts (prokaryotes, fungi, and meso- and macrofauna) in three human land-use ecosystem types (farmlands, residential areas, and parks) and natural forest ecosystems across subtropical and temperate regions in China. Our results showed that the degree of community homogenization largely differed between taxa and functional groups of soil protists, and was strongly and positively linked to their colonization ability of human land-use systems. Removal analysis showed that the introduction of widespread, generalist taxa (OTUs, operational taxonomic units) rather than the loss of narrow-ranged, specialist OTUs was the major cause of biological homogenization. This increase in generalist OTUs seemingly alleviated the negative impact of land use on specialist taxa, but carried the risk of losing functional diversity. Finally, homogenization of prey/host biota and environmental conditions were also important drivers of biological homogenization in human land-use systems, with their importance being more pronounced in phagotrophic than parasitic and phototrophic protists. Overall, our study showed that the variation in biological homogenization strongly depends on the colonization ability of taxa in human land-use systems, but is also affected by the homogenization of resources and environmental conditions. Importantly, biological homogenization is not the major cause of the decline in the diversity of soil protists, and conservation and study efforts should target at taxa highly sensitive to local extinction, such as parasites.

Previous research have demonstrated that the stress hyperglycemia ratio (SHR) accurately reflects acute hyperglycemic states and correlates with adverse outcomes. This study aims to explore the relationship between SHR and the prognosis of patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH). Patients with aSAH were categorized into four groups based on SHR tertiles. Functional outcomes were evaluated at 12 months using the modified Rankin Scale (mRS), with scores ranging from 0 to 2 indicating a good outcome and 3-6 indicating a poor outcome. The associations between SHR and functional outcomes were analyzed using logistic regression models and restricted cubic spline analysis. A total of 127 patients exhibited poor functional outcomes. Following comprehensive adjustments, those in the highest SHR tertile had a significantly increased risk of poor prognosis compared to those in the lowest tertile (odds ratio [OR], 4.12; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.87-9.06). Moreover, each unit increase in SHR was associated with a 7.51-fold increase in the risk of poor prognosis (OR, 7.51; 95% CI: 3.19-17.70). Further analysis using restricted cubic spline confirmed a linear correlation between SHR and poor prognosis (P for nonlinearity = 0.609). Similar patterns were observed across all studied subgroups. Elevated SHR significantly correlates with poor functional prognosis at one year in patients with aSAH, independent of their diabetes status.

BACKGROUND: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the third leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide. Serum biomarkers play an important role in the early diagnosis and prognosis of HCC. Because a certain percentage of HCC patients are negative for alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), the diagnosis of AFP-negative HCC is essential to improve the detection rate of HCC. AIM: To establish an effective model for diagnosing AFP-negative HCC based on serum tumour biomarkers. METHODS: A total of 180 HCC patients were enrolled in this study. The expression levels of GP73, des-γ-carboxyprothrombin (DCP), CK18-M65, and CK18-M30 were detected by a fully automated chemiluminescence analyser. The variables were selected by logistic regression analysis. Several models were constructed using stepwise backward logistic regression. The performance of the models was compared using the C statistic, integrated discrimination improvement, net reclassification improvement, and calibration curves. The clinical utility of the nomogram was assessed using decision curve analysis (DCA). RESULTS: The results showed that the expression levels of GP73, DCP, CK18-M65, and CK18-M30 were significantly greater in AFP-negative HCC patients than in healthy controls (P < 0.001). Multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that GP73, DCP, and CK18-M65 were independent factors for diagnosing AFP-negative HCC. By comparing the diagnostic performance of multiple models, we included GP73 and CK18-M65 as the model variables, and the model had good discrimination ability (area under the curve = 0.946) and good goodness of fit. The DCA curves indicated the good clinical utility of the nomogram. CONCLUSION: Our study identified GP73 and CK18-M65 as serum biomarkers with certain application value in the diagnosis of AFP-negative HCC. The diagnostic nomogram based on CK18-M65 combined with GP73 demonstrated good performance and effectively identified high-risk groups of patients with HCC.

BACKGROUND: Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a common mental and behavioral disorder among children. AIM: To explore the focus of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder parents and the effectiveness of early clinical screening. METHODS: This study found that the main directions of parents seeking medical help were short attention time for children under 7 years old (16.6%) and poor academic performance for children over 7 years old (12.1%). We employed a two-stage experiment to diagnose ADHD. Among the 5683 children evaluated from 2018 to 2021, 360 met the DSM-5 criteria. Those diagnosed with ADHD underwent assessments for letter, number, and figure attention. Following the exclusion of ADHD-H diagnoses, the detection rate rose to 96.0%, with 310 out of 323 cases identified. RESULTS: This study yielded insights into the primary concerns of parents regarding their children's symptoms and validated the efficacy of a straightforward diagnostic test, offering valuable guidance for directing ADHD treatment, facilitating early detection, and enabling timely intervention. Our research delved into the predominant worries of parents across various age groups. Furthermore, we showcased the precision of the simple exclusion experiment in discerning between ADHD-I and ADHD-C in children. CONCLUSION: Our study will help diagnose and guide future treatment directions for ADHD.

ABSTRACT

PURPOSE: To compare the objective visual quality of moderate-to-high myopia corrected by small incision lenticule extraction (SMILE) and transepithelial photorefractive keratectomy (TransPRK) at a 1,050-Hz ablation frequency, assisted by Smart-Pulse technology (SCHWIND eye-tech-solutions). METHODS: This study involved 123 patients (123 eyes) with moderate-to-high myopia between July 2020 and January 2021. They were categorized into the SMILE group (67 patients, 67 eyes) and the TransPRK group (56 patients, 56 eyes). Follow-ups were conducted at 6 months postoperatively to record the logarithm of the minimum angle of resolution visual acuity, and the Strehl ratio and higher order aberrations were measured using the Sirius anterior segment analysis device (SCHWIND eye-tech-solutions) under a 6-mm pupil diameter at various postoperative intervals. RESULTS: At 1 week and 1 month postoperatively, the uncorrected distance visual acuity (UDVA) in the SMILE group was superior to that in the TransPRK group (P < .05 for both). At 1 week and 1 month postoperatively, the Strehl ratio value in the SMILE group was higher than that in the TransPRK group (P < .05 for both). At 1, 3, and 6 months postoperatively, coma was greater in the SMILE group than in the TransPRK group (P < .05 for all). Spherical aberrations were lower in the SMILE group than in the TransPRK group at 3 and 6 months postoperatively (P < .05). At 6 months postoperatively, UDVA was -0.09 ± 0.08 and -0.11 ± 0.05 logMAR in the SMILE and TransPRK groups, respectively, which exceeded their preoperative corrected distance visual acuity of -0.05 ± 0.04 and -0.09 ± 0.08 logMAR (all P < .001). Compared with preoperative values, the Strehl ratio, total higher order, coma, and spherical aberration differences were significantly increased postoperatively in both groups (all P < .001). CONCLUSIONS: Both surgical methods improved UDVA and each had its advantages. The visual quality of SMILE was superior at 1 week and 1 month postoperatively (Strehl ratio values were higher than those of the TransPRK group), and its spherical aberration was lower than that of the TransPRK group at 3 and 6 months; TransPRK with SmartPulse technology with a 1,050-Hz ablation frequency showed that coma was significantly lower than that of the SMILE group at 1, 3, and 6 months postoperatively. ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVES: To investigate the effects and mechanism of curculigoside against poststroke depression (PSD). METHODS: In vivo, a PSD rat model was created by combining bilateral common carotid artery occlusion and chronic unpredictable mild stress stimulations. After 4-week modeling and intragastrically administration of curculigoside, the effects of curculigoside on behavior, hippocampal neurogenesis, and hippocampal mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation (OxPhos) were investigated. In vitro, PSD-like primary neural stem cells (NSCs) model was established by oxygen-glucose deprivation/recovery (OGD/R) combing high-corticosterone (CORT) concentration, followed by treatment with curculigoside. The investigation subsequently examined the impact of curculigoside on mitochondrial OxPhos, proliferation, and differentiation of NSCs under OGD/R + CORT conditions. KEY FINDINGS: In vivo, PSD rats showed significantly depressive behaviors, dysfunctional neurogenesis in hippocampus, as well as decreased hippocampus adenosine triphosphate (ATP) levels, reduced electron transport chain complexes activity, and downregulates mitochondrial transcription factor A (TFAM) and PPAR-gamma coactivator 1 alpha (PGC-1α) expression in hippocampus. In vitro, OGD/R +CORT significantly injured the proliferation and differentiation, as well as impaired the mitochondrial OxPhos in NSCs. Curculigoside treatment was effective in improving these abnormal changes. CONCLUSION: Curculigoside may repair hippocampal neurogenesis in PSD rats by enhancing hippocampal mitochondrial OxPhos, and has shown a great potential for anti-PSD.
