ABSTRACT
In order to probe into the role of plasma glucagon in the pathogenesis of NIDDM, the concentrations of fasting blood glucose, serum insulin and plasma glucagon were assayed in 327 subjects with normal glucose tolerance (group Ⅰ), 25 patients with NIDDM (group Ⅱ) and 20 NIDDM patients treated with drugs (group Ⅲ).
