ABSTRACT

An evaluation was done in those individuals engaged in the production of detergents, enzymic preparations, electron tubes and measuring instrumentation, using allergologic, laboratory methods and immunothermistometry of blood with allergens obtained from industrial chemical compounds. Feasibility is demonstrated of employing in the diagnosis of chemical allergy the immunothermistometry technique which was found to be superior to the known laboratory immunologic tests.

ABSTRACT

Enzyme industry products had significant allergo- and immunogenic effects on human body, manifesting by allergic dermatitis and respiratory forms of allergy. Most negative effects on immune system had alkaline protease 1 and 2, salizymelipase, neutral protease and protease C. Problems of diagnosis and modernizations of in-plant conditions were discussed.

ABSTRACT

The authors studied the frequency, etiological structure of drug allergy in 7381 patients with pulmonary tuberculosis within the period from 1980 through 1989. Determined were the factors furthering the more frequent formation of drug allergy. Studied were the prevailing clinical manifestations of drug allergy in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis as well as the types of drug-related allergic reactions according to the Jelal-Coombs classification. Wider introduction of allergological methods in phthisiatry is recommended.

ABSTRACT

Allergic diseases in patients with tuberculosis occur three times more frequent than in the nontubercular population. Drug-related allergy is most frequent. The causes of allergy in this contingent of patients are diverse. Of one them is, apparently, high frequency of sensibilization to Candida fungi determined by skin tests and immunothermistography. This problem deserves a more detailed investigation.

ABSTRACT

It was established that chronic pathology of the system of respiratory organs and allergic diseases show certain relationships due to the microbial sensibilization, repeated employment of medicinal agents immunological disorders and other factors. Association of allergic diseases and pathology of the respiratory organs should be recognized in time during prophylactic screenings and treatment of these patients.

ABSTRACT

Some aspects of drug allergy in tuberculosis patients are given. The rate of drug allergy in these cases makes up 14.65% and tends to further increase. The frequency of such allergy depends on sex, age, specificity of a tuberculous process and underlying diseases. A list of the drugs more frequently causing allergic reactions was made. As far as antituberculosis institutions are concerned, it seems necessary to organize proper prevention, diagnosis and treatment of drug allergies that would meet modern requirements.

ABSTRACT

The method of chemiluminometry was used to examine the citrate blood plasma and pleural exudate of 186 patients with exudative pleurisy of tuberculous, parapneumonic and tumour etiology. It was shown that the proposed method is highly informative, simple in realization, objective in evaluation of obtained data. The method enables in 24 hours to gain information on the nature of pleural lesions.
