ABSTRACT
By using the Eddy current rheograph one can measure the level of the blood supply to human organs or body parts at three different depths in local zones as well as study the blood flow in organs in the course of surgery and in the early postsurgical period directly from the area of surgical intervention. Measurements may be performed when applying the unit on dressing and bandages.

The slow waves of the cardiac rhythm were investigated at rest and under emotional and physical stress. In most test subjects emotional stress led to the generation of the first order slow waves of 0.04-0.09 cps, whereas exercises inhibited slow waves of the above frequency range. Heart rate increased in response to both emotional and physical stress. The slow wave responses can be used to evaluate the emotional status and to differentiate emotional and physical stresses.

Simulation studies of various emotional reactions of operators have shown that sthenic emotional reactions induce inhibition of slow waves of cardiac rhythm (f=0.05 divided by 0.17 Hz,) whereas asthenic emotional reactions lead to excitation of slow waves in the above frequency range.
