ABSTRACT

We study the computation of the zero set of the Bargmann transform of a signal contaminated with complex white noise, or, equivalently, the computation of the zeros of its short-time Fourier transform with Gaussian window. We introduce the adaptive minimal grid neighbors algorithm (AMN), a variant of a method that has recently appeared in the signal processing literature, and prove that with high probability it computes the desired zero set. More precisely, given samples of the Bargmann transform of a signal on a finite grid with spacing δ, AMN is shown to compute the desired zero set up to a factor of δ in the Wasserstein error metric, with failure probability O(δ4log2(1/δ)). We also provide numerical tests and comparison with other algorithms.

ABSTRACT

Analytic functions are very helpful in many mathematical and scientific uses, such as complex integration, potential theory, and fluid dynamics, due to their geometric features. Particularly conformal mappings are widely used in physics and engineering because they make it possible to convert complex physical issues into simpler ones with simpler answers. We investigate a novel family of analytic functions in the open unit disk using the K-symbol fractional differential operator type Riemann-Liouville fractional calculus of a complex variable. For the analysis and solution of differential equations containing many fractional orders, it offers a potent mathematical framework. There are ongoing determinations to strengthen the mathematical underpinnings of K-symbol fractional calculus theory and investigate its applications in various fields.•Normalization is presented for the K-symbol fractional differential operator. Geometric properties are offered of the proposed K-symbol fractional differential operator, such as the starlikeness property and hence univalency in the open unit disk.•The formula of the Alexander integral involving the proposed operator is suggested and studied its geometric properties such as convexity.•Examples are illustrated to fit our pure result. Here, the technique is based on the concepts of geometric function theory in the open unit disk, such as the subordination and Jack lemma.

ABSTRACT

This investigation deals with a new symmetric formula for a class of meromorphic analytic functions in the puncher open unit disk. Accordingly, the symmetric formula is employed to define a convolution linear operator associated with a special function type the incomplete hypergeometric function. By making utilize the recommended operators, a new sub-classes of meromorphic functions is presented discussing some subordination results. As exceptional examples of our results, certain more acknowledged outcomes are also provided.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: The interest in using fractional calculus operators has grown in the field of image processing. Image enhancement is one of image processing tools that aims to improve the details of an image. The enhancement of medical images is a challenging task due to the unforeseeable variation in the quality of the captured images. METHODS: In this study, we present a mathematical model based on the class of fractional partial differential equations (FPDEs). The class is formulated by the proportional-Caputo hybrid operator (PCHO). Moreover, some properties of the geometric functions in the unit disk are applied to determine the upper bound solutions for this class of FPDEs. The upper bound solution is indicated in the relations of the general hypergeometric functions. The main advantage of FPDE lies in its capability to enhance the low contrast intensities through the proposed fractional enhanced operator. RESULTS: The proposed image enhancement algorithm is tested against brain and lungs computed tomography (CT) scans datasets of different qualities to show that it is robust and can withstand dramatic variations in quality. The quantitative results of Brisque, Piqe, SSEQ, and SAMGVG were 40.93%, 41.13%, 66.09%, and 31.04%, respectively for brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) images and 39.07, 41.33, 30.97, and 159.24 respectively for the CT lungs images. The comparative results show that the proposed image enhancement model achieves the best image quality assessments. CONCLUSIONS: Overall, this model significantly improves the details of the given datasets, and could potentially help the medical staff during the diagnosis process.

ABSTRACT

An increasing volume of evidence suggests that mentalization (MZ) can be an important factor in the transition from mental health to mental illness and vice versa. However, most studies are focused on the role of MZ in specific disorders. This study aims to evaluate the relationship between MZ and mental health as a trans-diagnostic process. A sample of 172 adolescents aged 12 to 18 years old (M = 14.6, SD = 1.7; 56.4% of girls) was assessed on measures of MZ, psychopathology and psychological functioning from a multimethod and multi-informant perspective. Contrary to predictions, MZ was not associated with general psychopathology and comorbidity, even when explored from a broad, trans-diagnostic perspective. However, we observed a robust association linking MZ to functioning and well-being across many dimensions, involving social, role and several psychological indicators of adjustment and mental health. These results suggest that MZ may contribute to mental health beyond symptoms, not so much associated with psychopathology, but rather resilience and well-being.

ABSTRACT

In the present paper, we investigate majorization properties for the class M ß α ( p , γ ) of uniformly starlike functions and the class N ß α ( p , θ ) of spiral-like functions related to an exponential function, which are defined through the Liu-Owa integral operator Q ß , p α given by (1.5). Also, some special cases of our main results in a form of corollaries are shown.

ABSTRACT

In this paper, we study Tsallis' fractional entropy (TFE) in a complex domain by applying the definition of the complex probability functions. We study the upper and lower bounds of TFE based on some special functions. Moreover, applications in complex neural networks (CNNs) are illustrated to recognize the accuracy of CNNs.

ABSTRACT

In this paper, we investigate the Bohr-type radii for several different forms of Bohr-type inequalities of analytic functions in the unit disk, we also investigate the Bohr-type radius of the alternating series associated with the Taylor series of analytic functions. We will prove that most of the results are sharp.

ABSTRACT

A biological dynamic system carries engineering properties such as control systems and signal processing (or image processing) addicted to molecular biology at the level of bio-molecular communication networks. Dynamical system features and signal reply functions of cellular signaling pathways are some of the main topics in biological dynamic systems (for example the biological segmentation). In the present paper, we introduce new generalized hybrid time-space dynamical systems of growing bacteria. We impose the approximate analytic solution for the system. The generalization adapted the concepts of the Riemann-Liouville fractional operators for time and the Srivastava-Owa fractional operators for space. Moreover, we introduce a numerical perturbation method of two operators to obtain the approximate solutions. We establish the existence and uniqueness results and impose some applications in the sequel. Moreover, we study the Ulam stability and apply these stable solutions to improve the segmentation of a class of growing bacteria.

ABSTRACT

Recently, the generalized hypergeometric function is extended by utilizing the Beta function. Based on this type of function, we introduce a new operator in the open unit disk. The present article investigates some subordination and superordination results for certain normalized analytic functions in the open unit disk, which are acted upon by the generalized Noor integral operator. Some of outcomes improve and generalize previously known outcomes.

ABSTRACT

This paper shows the author's approach to the analytical encounter, with an emphasis on the internal world of each one of the two participants, and on their interactions. After a clinical vignette that was brought as a stimulation and an excerpt of theoretical understanding, the author examines what happens with the patient, who seeks an analysis, and with the analyst, in his clinical practice. The author gives priority to the concept of primary transference in order to place subjects relating to the patient's internal world. He also focuses on the analyst's personality, working on two levels: unfolding the countertranference issue in the use of the skills that he acquired during psychoanalytic training, and in the existing emotional aspect. The professional preparation of the analyst is described in terms of vocation, years of training, and all ups and downs after his final graduation. Then the author brings up some issues related to the analytic bond and the two-person interaction, focusing on intersubjectivity and general bounds. He writes about other levels of events in the analytical encounter, such as nonverbal behavior, performings and enactments, and the existence of other scene - a scene that underlies the encounter - in a more comprehensive way...

ABSTRACT

The aim of this paper is to focus on the first encounter between patient and analyst. The author suggests four aspects to be observed as peculiarities of this initial moment: (1) the attention to the patient's actions before arriving at the analyst's office. Those acts convey the patient's urgency, possibilities and resistance to analysis; (2) the patient's unconscious observation of the analyst's mental conditions to receive the projective identification (live what has to be lived); (3) the analyst's unconscious examination of his own internal availability for that patient; (4) the presentation to the patient of the singularity that characterizes the analytic relationship, the listening and the reach of psychoanalysis, not in verbal terms, but in gestures and attitudes that compose the exercise of the analytic function. The author suggests that this unconscious communication is the main factor in the decision of whether or not to start the analytic process. This explains the idea that the first meeting between analyst and patient is the potential field for analysis development, as expressed in the title of the article.

ABSTRACT

The author collects some ideas about auto-analysis, since Freud, pioneer also of the auto-analysis. Freud spoke of a 'continued auto-analysis'. The quarrel is open, between those who think auto-analysis is possible, and others who think it is impossible. Being activated, the function of the auto-analysis can one say that the observer task, delegated to the psychoanalyst in psychoanalytical process, is reassumed by analyzed subjects. So, we conclude theoretically that the auto-analysis is possible. Finally, 'it can be said that the personal analysis finishes when subject no more demands the Other what the Other does not have to give'. This seems to be the situation of the analyzed patient, whose analysis can be directed for the ending and, therefore, for the self-analysis(AU)
