ABSTRACT

The carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) bending structure is widely used in aviation. The emergence and spread of delamination damage will decrease the safety of in-service bending structures. Lamb waves can effectively identify delamination damage as a high-damage-sensitivity detection tool. For this present study, the signal difference coefficient (SDC) was introduced to quantify delamination damage and evaluate the sensitivity of A0-mode and S0-mode Lamb waves to delamination damage. The simulation results show that compared with the S0-mode Lamb wave, the A0-mode Lamb wave exhibits higher delamination damage sensitivity. The delamination damage can be quantified based on the strong correlation between the SDC and the delamination damage size. The control effect of the linear array PZT phase time-delay method on the Lamb wave mode was investigated by simulation. The phase time-delay method realizes the generation of a single-mode Lamb wave, which can separately excite the A0-mode and S0-mode Lamb wave to identify delamination damage of different sizes. The A0-mode Lamb wave was excited by the developed one-dimensional miniaturized linear comb transducer (LCT), which was used to conduct the detection experiment on the CFRP bending plate with delamination damage sizes of Φ6.0 mm, Φ10.0 mm, and Φ15.0 mm. The experimental results verify the correctness of the simulation. According to the Hermite interpolation results of the finite-element simulation data, the relationship between the delamination damage size and the SDC was fitted by the Gaussian function and Rational function, which can accurately quantify the delamination damage. The absolute error of the delamination damage quantification with Gaussian and Rational fitting expression does not exceed 0.8 mm and 0.7 mm, and the percentage error is not more than 8% and 7%. The detection and signal processing methods employed in the present research are easy to operate and implement, and accurate delamination damage quantification results have been obtained.

ABSTRACT

The value of ecosystem services is an extremely important parameter that reflects regional ecological benefits and resources. Estimating the value of ecosystem services is essential for regional land-use optimization, ecological construction, and biodiversity protection. In this study, Landsat-TM/ETM remote sensing images were used to analyze land-use data in 1990, 2000, 2010, and 2020 of the Yellow River Basin (Henan section), China, defined by natural boundaries. An equivalent factor method was used to construct a model to calculate the ecosystem services value that introduced grain yield, regional difference coefficient, and social development stage coefficient. Thus, land-use changes and evolution of ecosystem services values in the Yellow River Basin (Henan section) in the past 30 years were analyzed. Land use in the basin changed significantly from 1990 to 2020. Except for an increase in area of construction land, areas of other land-use types decreased. Cultivated land area first increased and then decreased, whereas the water area first decreased and then increased. The total value of ecosystem services in the study area fluctuated but increased overall by 43.82 × 108 USD in the past 30 years. Spatially, the total value of ecosystem services was high in the southwest and low in the northeast. Among individual ecosystem service values, water conservation, gas regulation, and climate regulation accounted for a relatively high proportion of the total value. Regulation services were the main ecosystem service functions, followed by support and supply services, with cultural services accounting for the lowest proportion. Sensitivity coefficients of different land types in different periods were all less than one. Therefore, the value coefficients were reasonable, and the results were consistent with the actual situation of the study area. The study improves the method to estimate the ecosystem services value of the basin and also indicates ways to support ecological protection of the Yellow River Basin (Henan section), China.

ABSTRACT

In order to compare the setting of difference coefficients in DRG point payment in different cities in Zhejiang province, the implementation rules of DRG point payment issued by 11 cities in Zhejiang province were comprehensively analyzed. It was found that the difference coefficients in different cities could be divided into three categories, including hospital coefficients alone, hospital coefficients and grade coefficients weighted, and weighted by hospital coefficients, grade coefficients, personal burden levels, case mix indexes, and head-to-time ratio. Its setting differences included four aspects: connotation composition, weight distribution, threshold value, and classification of medical institutions. The authors suggested that the adjustment cycle should be set scientifically to dynamically adjust the difference coefficient, and the scientific setting of the difference coefficient should be promoted through provincial coordination.

ABSTRACT

Noninvasive blood component analysis by spectroscopy has been a hotspot in biomedical engineering in recent years. Dynamic spectrum provides an excellent idea for noninvasive blood component measurement, but studies have been limited to the application of broadband light sources and high-resolution spectroscopy instruments. In order to remove redundant information, a more effective wavelength selection method has been presented in this paper. In contrast to many common wavelength selection methods, this method is based on sensing mechanism which has a clear mechanism and can effectively avoid the noise from acquisition system. The spectral difference coefficient was theoretically proved to have a guiding significance for wavelength selection. After theoretical analysis, the multi-band spectral difference coefficient-wavelength selection method combining with the dynamic spectrum was proposed. An experimental analysis based on clinical trial data from 200 volunteers has been conducted to illustrate the effectiveness of this method. The extreme learning machine was used to develop the calibration models between the dynamic spectrum data and hemoglobin concentration. The experiment result shows that the prediction precision of hemoglobin concentration using multi-band spectral difference coefficient-wavelength selection method is higher compared with other methods.

ABSTRACT

PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to investigate how to detect proximal caries using line profile and validate linear measurements of proximal caries lesions by basic digital manipulation of radiographic images. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The X-ray images of control group (15) and caries teeth (15) from patients were used. For each image, the line profile at the proximal caries-susceptible zone was calculated. To evaluate the contrast as a function of line profile to detect proximal caries, a difference coefficient (D) that indicates the relative difference between caries and sound dentin or intact enamel was measured. RESULTS: Mean values of D were 0.0354+/-0.0155 in non-caries and 0.2632+/-0.0982 in caries (p<0.001). CONCLUSION: The mean values of caries group were higher than non-caries group and there was correlation between proximal dental caries and D. It is demonstrated that the mean value of D from caries group was higher than that of control group. From the result, values of D possess great potentiality as a new detection parameter for proximal dental caries.
