ABSTRACT
Se realizó un estudio longitudinal, prospectivo y descriptivo a embarazadas con el diagnostico de diabetes pregestacional tipo I, tipo II y diabetes gestacional en el Servicio de Obstetricia del Hospital General Docente Dr Ernesto Guevara de la Serna en Las Tunas durante los años 1999 y 2000 evaluándose los resultados maternos y perinatales. Se atendieron 58 gestantes de las cuales 10 tenían el diagnostico de diabetes pregestacional y 48 el de gestacional. La información fue recogida mediante formulario como fuente de datos la historia clínica y el carné obstétrico. Encontramos que la mayoría de las gestantes diabéticas llegaron al término y a un alto número se le practica la cesárea. Predominó el sufrimiento fetal agudo como causa de cesárea. Un 34,4 por ciento presentó pre-eclampsia así como un alto número presentó liquido amniótico meconial. El bajo peso al nacer no fue relevante(AU)
A longitudinal, prospective and descriptive study of pregnant woman with the diagnosis of pregestational type I, type II diabetes, and gestational diabetes was done in the obstetrics Service of Dr Ernesto Guevara de la Serna General Teaching Hospital, in Las Tunas, during the years 1999 and 2000, evaluating the maternal and perinatal results. 58 pregnant woman were assisted, from which 10 of them were diagnosed with pregestational diabetes and 48 gestational diabetes. The information was goatherd with a form and the source up data were de Clinical histories and the obstetric card. It was found out that most diabetic pregnant women had full-term pregnancies, and a high number underwent caesarean section. The predominant cause of the caesarean sections was acute foetal distress. 34,4 per cent had pre-eclampsia and a high number of patients had meconial amniotic fluid.
