ABSTRACT
A elevação da membrana sinusal combinada com o preenchimento do seio maxilar por meio de um substituto ósseo com implantação tardia vem sendo uma das técnicas utilizadas para obtenção de osso vital nos casos onde a pneumatização impossibilita a instalação do implante. A invaginação de tecido conjuntivo foi a intercorrência ocorrida nesse relato de caso clínico, onde nova intervenção foi realizada com um diferencial: uma membrana não reabsorvível foi utilizada para oclusão da janela contralateral justificada pela biocompatibilidade e pela inércia, o que mostrou ser uma alternativa viável.
The elevation of the sinus membrane combined with the filling of the maxillary sinus by means of a bone substitute with late deployment, has been one of techniques used to obtain bone vital in cases where the pneumatization prevents the installation of the implant. The invagination of tissue complication occurred that was the case report where further intervention was performed with a twist: A non-resorbable membrane was used to occlude the window against lateral justified by biocompatibility and inertia, which proved to be a viable alternative.
