ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: As the need for using dental implants to replace single missing teeth grows, so does the demand for greater esthetic results. However, achieving complete interproximal papillae fill in single-tooth implant restorations remains a challenge. The distally anchored connective tissue platform is a novel soft tissue augmentation technique that consists of harvesting an autogenous connective tissue graft from the palate, folding it, and positioning it at the level of the distal occlusal and buccal surfaces with the help of a distal sling suture to the adjacent distal tooth. METHODS: This case report describes how a maxillary central incisor with compromised hard and soft tissues were replaced using a comprehensive treatment plan. RESULTS: The clinical outcomes showed stable mucosal margin levels and complete papillae fill. The patient expressed satisfaction with the achieved results. CONCLUSIONS: The distally anchored connective tissue graft platform performed at the time of implant placement emerges as a viable and effective soft tissue augmentation technique that yields highly esthetic results. KEY POINTS: Why is this case new information? To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case report in the literature using the distally anchored connective tissue platform. What are the keys to successful management of this case? Adequate diagnosis and decision-making, resulting in a treatment plan focused on reconstructing both soft and hard tissues in a single-tooth implant within the esthetic area, yield favorable clinical, radiological, and patient-reported outcomes. What are the primary limitations to success in this case? The primary limitation of this study is its reliance on a single case report.

ABSTRACT

Interproximal reduction (IPR) has become a standard practice in orthodontic treatment, particularly in the clear aligner therapy. It became an integral part of the digital plan when using clear aligners. Given the irreversible nature of IPR, precise planning and performance is essential. This article aims to analyze and summarize the existing literature on IPR in the context of clear aligners. The goal is to help clinicians to gain essential knowledge for safely and effectively navigating IPR. The review critically examines different perspectives found in the literature, covering indications, methods, and outcomes. Topics exploring the impact of IPR on treatment outcomes include space gaining, addressing tooth size discrepancies, tooth shape adjustments, resolving malocclusion, and enhancing aesthetics. Emphasizing precision of the procedure by the clinician and awareness of contraindications, the article also discusses the impact of IPR on patients. This includes considerations like increased pulp temperature, susceptibility to cavities due to changes in enamel roughness, effects on soft tissues, and post-IPR tooth sensitivity.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: Currently, there is no established treatment protocol to treat interdental papillary loss. This research aimed to evaluate the outcomes of interdental papillary reconstruction using minimally invasive surgery, with injectable hyaluronic acid gel. METHOD AND MATERIALS: Seventeen patients were included, each with five sites of class 1 papillary recession (40 sites in the maxilla and 45 sites in the mandible). Subperiosteal tunneling was performed through a horizontal incision made apical to the base of the papilla without penetrating it. The free gingival sulcus was sealed by 000 retraction cord. A total of 0.2 to 0.6 mL hyaluronic acid was injected gradually. The incision was sutured with polyglycolic sutures. Treated sites underwent clinical and digital evaluation at three follow-up time points (1 month, 3 months, and 6 months). RESULTS: The interdental papillary defect height in the maxillary sites significantly reduced by 60%, 66%, and 42% at 1, 3, and 6 months, respectively. In mandibular sites, the reduction was 54%, 55%, and 40% at the same follow-up time points. Regarding interdental papillary defect surface area in the maxilla, the reduction was 65%, 71%, and 45% at 1, 3, and 6 months. In the mandible, a reduction of 60%, 64%, and 48% was noticed at the same time points. Regarding patients' pain level score, during the day of surgery, 16 patients reported pain; the average pain score out of 10 was 3.94, and 11 patients (64.7%) needed to take analgesics. The pain generally subsided in the following days. At the day of treatment, 12 out of the 17 patients (70.6%) reported mild difficulty in speaking and eating. No complication, hypersensitivity, or allergy was noted in any patient. CONCLUSION: Subperiosteal tunneling with hyaluronic acid injection demonstrates clinical improvements in papilla height and papillary recession surface area reduction after 3 months of follow-up, with reduction in improvement after 6 months. CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Adjunctive use of hyaluronic acid injection with minimally invasive surgery in interdental papillary management may improve clinical and esthetic outcomes.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVES: To assess treatment options for the reconstruction of the lost interdental papilla and to evaluate evidence for their efficacy. METHODS: An electronic search (Medline, Embase and the Cochrane Library Database and OpenGray) and a hand search were carried out to identify all types of studies investigating interdental papilla reconstruction (except for reviews) with a minimum of 3 months follow-up. RESULTS: Forty-five studies were included in the study including 7 RCTs, 2 cohort studies, 19 case series and 17 case reports. Fifteen studies reported on the use of hyaluronic acid, 6 studies on platelet-rich fibrin, 16 studies on soft tissue grafting, 4 studies on orthodontics and 4 on additional modalities. The most common outcome measures were black triangle dimensions and papillary fill percentage. Meta-analysis was not possible due to the high heterogeneity of the studies. CONCLUSION: There are various options for interdental papilla reconstruction of which hyaluronic acid injections, PRF, surgical grafting and orthodontics seem to improve outcomes at a minimum 3 months. The use of soft tissue grafting with sub-epithelial connective tissue graft seems to be associated with the most robust evidence for the longer-term reduction of 'black triangles'. There is insufficient evidence to make recommendations to clinicians. Further research is needed in the form of well conducted RCTs with longer follow ups and patient reported outcome measures. CLINICAL RELEVANCE: Patients frequently complain about the appearance of black triangles and their management options seem unclear. This systematic review provides insight into the available reconstructive options.

ABSTRACT

Blood flow in the gingiva, comprising the interdental papilla as well as attached and marginal gingiva, is important for maintaining of gingival function and is modulated by risk factors such as stress that may lead to periodontal disease. Marked blood flow changes mediated by the autonomic (parasympathetic and sympathetic) nervous system may be essential for gingival hemodynamics. However, differences in autonomic vasomotor responses and their functional significance in different parts of the gingiva are unclear. We examined the differences in autonomic vasomotor responses and their interactions in the gingiva of anesthetized rats. Parasympathetic vasodilation evoked by the trigeminal (lingual nerve)-mediated reflex elicited frequency-dependent blood flow increases in gingivae, with the increases being greatest in the interdental papilla. Parasympathetic blood flow increases were significantly reduced by intravenous administration of the atropine and VIP antagonist. The blood flow increase evoked by acetylcholine administration was higher in the interdental papilla than in the attached gingiva, whereas that evoked by VIP agonist administration was greater in the attached gingiva than in the interdental papilla. Activation of the cervical sympathetic nerves decreased gingival blood flow and inhibited parasympathetically induced blood flow increases. Our results suggest that trigeminal-parasympathetic reflex vasodilation 1) is more involved in the regulation of blood flow in the interdental papilla than in the other parts of the gingiva, 2) is mediated by cholinergic (interdental papilla) and VIPergic systems (attached gingiva), and 3) is inhibited by excess sympathetic activity. These results suggest a role in the etiology of periodontal diseases during mental stress.

BACKGROUND: To evaluate the effectiveness of hyaluronic acid (HA) gel injection with and without plasma rich in growth factors (PRGF) for the management of interdental papillary loss. METHODS: A single blinded randomized clinical trial was carried out on 21 subjects with 34 sites. Patients within the age group 18-45 years who had Class I and II papillary recession in the maxillary anterior region were selected. The sites involved were randomly assigned to Group HA alone and Group HA + PRGF. The patients were recalled 4 weeks after receiving supragingival and subgingival instrumentation. HA or HA + PRGF was injected into the defective papilla at baseline and at 3 and 6 weeks. Image based measurements of Papillary Width (PW), Papillary Deficient Height (PDH), Deficient Area (DA), Deficient Volume (DV) were registered at baseline, 3 weeks, 6 weeks and 12 weeks. A vernier caliper was used to measure the papillary depth in the impression made using additional silicone impression material pre- and post-intervention. RESULTS: There was a significant improvement in the within-group comparison of PW, PDH, DA and DV in both the groups. Group HA + PRGF showed significantly greater improvement in comparison to Group HA alone in terms of PDH, DA and DV at 6 and 12 weeks. CONCLUSIONS: Even though HA gel has already been established as a promising injectable agent in the minimally invasive treatment of interdental papillary deficiency, PRGF may also have a significant adjuvant effect when used along with HA. Further clinical studies with longer follow up duration, larger sample size and standardization of the tooth shape are required for a better understanding of the adjuvant effect of PRGF when used along with HA.

Background: The regeneration and maintenance of the interdental papilla presents a great challenge to the clinician while smile designing. Proportions of papilla height (PH), crestal PH (CPH), and proximal contact areas (PCA) are more stable parameters. Aim: The purpose of the present study was to evaluate and correlate the papilla proportion (PP), crestal PP (CPP), and PCA proportion (PCAP) in periodontally healthy males and females. Materials and Methods: One hundred and twenty patients in an age group of 20-40 years, divided equally based on gender, were assessed for PH, CPH, and PCA of maxillary anterior teeth. The findings were recorded on study models and radiographs to obtain the PP, CPP, and PCAP on the mesial and distal aspects of respective tooth. Statistical Analysis: The overall comparison of parameters was performed using paired t-test. Results: The mean mesial PP (43.51% ± 3.10% for male and 45.23% ± 2.23% for female) and CPP values (48.36% ± 3.35% for male and 51.16% ± 2.96% for female) were found to be greater of each tooth type and were more pronounced for females. The PCAP values were greater for distal aspects (36.76% ± 7.00% for males and 33.30% ± 6.93% for females). Conclusion: The results of the study indicate that PP and CPP are more pronounced in females, while the PCAP is more marked in males. Furthermore, it appears that the PP and CPP are inversely related to the PCAP in both males and females.

ABSTRACT

Formation of black triangles due to the loss of interdental papilla is one of the utmost perplexing esthetic problems of the periodontium. Many surgical and nonsurgical treatment options have been researched upon to obtain complete papillary fill, but minimally invasive procedures have always been the choice of treatment both for the operator as well as the patient. This article describes the use of injectable platelet-rich fibrin (i-PRF) as a novel nonsurgical technique for the reconstruction of deficient interdental papilla. This is probably the first article that describes the use of i-PRF for the nonsurgical treatment of black triangles. Six sites with the presence of deficient interdental papilla in four patients were selected for this case series. After completion and reevaluation of scaling and root planing, autologous i-PRF was injected at the base of the interdental papilla using the insulin syringe. Photographs obtained before the treatment and at 1, 3, and 6 months after the intervention were assessed by Image J software along with clinical measurements. The use of novel nonsurgical injectable PRF technique allows clinician to successfully treat deficient interdental papilla.

ABSTRACT

AIM: To evaluate the efficacy of intrapapillary injections of vitamin C along with microneedling (MN) in enhancing deficient interdental papilla (IDP) in esthetic zones clinically. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Fifteen patients diagnosed with black triangles according to Norland classification system for loss of papillary height were selected. After oral prophylaxis and baseline measurements of insufficient interdental papilla, the vitamin C injection was loaded in disposable syringe 30G × 1/2" needle. The needle was inserted at 45° angle, 2-3-mm apical to the involved papilla and all surrounding areas. Each involved papilla was injected with an amount till blanching was visible. After that, MN was done in the required area. This method was repeated for 5 times at 7 days intervals consecutively. The final clinical photographs and measurements were recorded after 7 days of last dose administered. RESULTS: There was a statistically significant difference in the mean IDP height observed over the time period (p = 0.002). CONCLUSION: An overall healthy appearance of gingiva with a remarkable increase in papilla growth was observed. CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Vitamin C injection along with MN can be considered as an alternative to invasive surgical procedures in reconstruction or regeneration of the missing IDP.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: This case report describes the orthodontic and prosthetic rehabilitation of a patient with resorption of the roots of the maxillary central incisors due to the ectopic maxillary canines. CLINICAL CONSIDERATIONS: A 16-year-old woman presented with severe resorption of the roots of the maxillary central incisors due to the ectopic maxillary canines. The impacted canines were orthodontically tracted with a lingual arch-supporting temporary central incisors and vertical elastics, and, undesirable root proximity was later corrected by moving the canines distally 1.5 mm apart. Gingival replacement cords were placed into the gingival sulcus of the canines, and tooth preparation was performed along with rotary gingival curettage of the interdental papilla. Convex form was provided for the mesial and labio-distal subgingival contour of the restorations. CONCLUSIONS: The creeping attachment of the interdental papilla was successfully achieved by the orthodontic arrangement of interdental distance and the prosthetic stimulus via the retraction cord, rotary curettage, and convex mesial subgingival contours. In addition, selective retraction of the labio-distal gingiva by overcontoured restorations moved the gingival zenith position (GZP) distally. Finally, the canine crown morphology and gingival level mimicked the central incisors. CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE: This clinical report introduces a treatment workflow of to recover the esthetic disturbance due to severe root resorption of the maxillary central incisors associated with impacted maxillary canines. The present orthodontic and prosthetic procedure can improve both hard and soft tissue esthetics and could be used in similar cases, such as malformed teeth and tooth autotransplantation or transposition with disturbances in the interdental papilla height or the GZP.

OBJECTIVES: To assess the efficacy and safety of hyaluronic acid (HA) injections to restore the lost interproximal papilla. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A systematic literature search was conducted in PubMed/MEDLINE, Scopus and Cochrane electronic databases with no time restriction up to September 2021. Any clinical study evaluating HA injection into the interproximal papilla loss Class I and II according to Norland & Tarnow, were included based on the following PICO questions (1) Are HA injections effective for the reconstruction of the interproximal papilla loss? (2) What are the side/adverse effects of using HA for the reconstruction of interproximal papilla loss? The risk of bias assessment was performed using the Cochrane Collaboration's the Newcastle Ottawa and Joanna Briggs institute tools. RESULTS: A total of 1497 titles were retrieved. From these, eleven were included and underwent full data extraction. However, due to heterogeneity in the data among the included articles, a meta-analysis could not be performed. Three articles reported no-differences in term of papilla tip to contact point distance or the papilla fill reduction. Finally, five studies showed a reduction in the black triangle with a percentage range between 19 and 47%. CONCLUSION: The non-surgical use of HA injection seems to have a positive effect on the re-establishment of interproximal papilla lost. However post-operative complications might develop.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: Due to the minimal blood supply and other reasons, stable reconstruction of interdental papilla is difficult. This article presented three cases, which describe a customized subepithelial connective tissue graft aiming to overcome the clinical challenge, with the combination of tunneling technique. CLINICAL CONSIDERATIONS: An original customized subepithelial connective tissue graft combined with tunnel technique aimed to reconstruct interdental papilla (IP). The subepithelial connective tissue graft was partially spilt to create a bowtie-like shape, with four lateral wings and a main body. The four wings were tightly wrapped around the adjacent abutments, and the body part was used to reconstruct the IP. CONCLUSIONS: With the customized subepithelial connective tissue graft, a favorable outcome has been preliminarily confirmed in these cases. Facing patients with a lack of gingival papilla and soft tissue fullness, the customized subepithelial connective tissue graft may be a good choice. CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE: This study provides a new method to reconstruct IP. The customized subepithelial connective tissue graft may be a good choice when a lack of gingival papilla and soft tissue fullness occurs, which will be of great benefit to meet the aesthetic needs of patients.

BACKGROUND AND AIM: Reconstruction of interdental papillae (IDP) is among the most difficult periodontal therapy. Papillary recession is multifactorial, and several surgical, nonsurgical, and minimally invasive techniques have been suggested. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the clinical application of injectable hyaluronic acid (HA) gel for the reconstruction of IDP in Nordland and Tarnow's Class I and II papillary recession cases. MATERIALS AND METHODS: In the present in vivo clinical trial, 7 patients (2 males, 5 females) with 25 defects were selected. A volume of 0.2 ml HA gel was injected at the respective areas and massaged for 2-3 min. Photographs were obtained, and the assessment of the data was performed clinically (CP-GM, interproximal width [IPW]) and by Image analysis software (black triangle height [BTH], black triangle width [BTW]). Comparison of mean values was performed using the analysis of variance, followed by Post hoc Bonferroni test. Value of P ≤ 0.05 was considered statistically significant. RESULTS: Application of HA gel for the reconstruction of IDP was successful in 6 months. CP-GM, BTH, IPW, and BTW showed a statistically significant difference from baseline to 3 and 6 months interval (P = 0.01). Post hoc Bonferroni test for CP-GM, BTH, BTW, and IPW revealed a statistically significant difference from baseline to 3 months (P ≤ 0.05) and 6 months (P ≤ 0.05) and a nonsignificant difference at 3-6 months (P ≥ 0.05). CONCLUSION: Injectable HA gel is a promising minimally invasive therapy for enhancing papillary esthetics.

ABSTRACT

The interdental papilla plays an important role in terms of esthetics and function. Management of the interdental papilla, especially around implants can be challenging. One of the factors mentioned in the literature that affects the viability of the papilla is the distance of the interdental contact point from the crest of the bone. The following case report describes a technique to predictably achieve an interdental contact area within the proper distance from the crest of the bone to help maintain the papilla for the long term.

PURPOSE: To evaluate the stability of interdental papilla filling using hyaluronic acid (HA) to treat black triangles in esthetic regions. METHODS: The protocol was registered in PROSPERO. Six databases (PubMed, Scopus, Embase, Lilacs, SciELO, and Web of Science) were used as primary search sources, and OpenGrey and OpenThesis were used to capture the "gray literature." Only before-after studies were included. The JBI Checklist assessed the risk of bias. Only four studies met the inclusion criteria and were considered for the analyses. The studies were published from 2010 to 2016. All studies presented a low risk of bias. Considering the studies do not have control groups, a weighted average by sample size was calculated to obtain a general estimate of the percentage of papillary filling after 6 months and the number of HA applications. RESULTS: The studies showed the percentage of papillary reconstruction after 6 months of application, the weighted average by sample size was 77.41% (SD = 20.68), with an average number of applications of 3.17 (SD = 0.31). CONCLUSION: The application of HA may be used to repair anesthetic defects in the papilla. CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Interdental papilla reconstruction with injectable HA is an option of nonsurgical treatment for interdental papilla deficiencies. However, there is still concern about the quality of the evidence available, considering that studies with different experimental designs can produce contradictory results. Moreover, further understanding is required on the stability of tissue gain promoted by HA in black triangles.

OBJECTIVE: Proportionate existence of the lip framework and gingival scaffold have a critical role in smile esthetics. So, the present study was conducted to assess and correlate the nasolabial angle (NLA) and lip length (LL) with gingival smile line (GSL) and interdental smile line (ISL). MATERIALS AND METHODS: One hundred and twenty periodontally healthy patients with an age group 20 to 40 years were equally divided based on gender into two groups. The parameters of NLA, LL, GSL, ISL, amount of midfacial gingiva, and interdental papilla display were recorded in the maxillary anterior sextant. RESULTS: The mean values of NLA and LL at rest and on smiling were found to be higher in males. Majority of study population exhibited Low GSL (LGSL) and High ISL (HISL). On correlation of LL with GSL, the difference in the mean values between males and females for LGSL were highly significant, for HGSL and Cupid's bow the values were significant. The mean values of midfacial gingiva and interdental papilla visible in females was greater than males. CONCLUSION: The NLA and LL influence the quantum of gingival exhibit in maxillary anterior teeth with a definitive sexual dimorphism and this can be considered a valuable reference point in smile designing procedures. CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE: The quantum of gingival exhibit on smiling is an important feature in periodontal, implant, restorative, and smile designing procedures in patients possessing HGSL and HISL category of GSL and ISL. It is indicated that the lip length is correlated with the amount of gingival tissue display both in midfacial as well as interdental region and which needs to be considered by the clinician.

ABSTRACT

The objective of this study was to assess the efficacy of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) on interdental papilla (IDP) loss in the esthetic zone. Twenty one subjects (14 females and 7 males) from those referred for treatment of IDP loss at Periodontics postgraduate clinics at the Jordan University of Science and Technology. A total of 86 interdental sites (58 sites in the maxillary jaw and 28 sites in the mandibular jaw) were treated and followed up. A 0.2 ml of Hyaluronic acid was injected in each receded IDP site and injections were repeated after 21 days. Papilla sites were evaluated and statistically analyzed. At the 3 week interval the mean reduction of black triangle (BT) height was 0.17 mm (8% reduction) (P-value <0.001), at the 3 month interval there was a mean reduction of BT height of 0.83 mm (39% reduction) (P-value <0.001). At 6 months however, the reduction in BT height was 0.62 mm (29% reduction) (P-value <0.001). Within the limitations of this study, it can be concluded that the use of commercially available HA gel for the treatment of interdental papillae loss may have promising results over the first 6 months after injection. The maximum improvement in black triangles was at 3 months after injection with a reduction of improvement between 3 and 6 months. Clinical Relevance Helping clinician to take evidence based decision while considering Hyaluronic acid injection as a short term nonsurgical treatment modality for interdental papilla loss.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVES: The aim was to investigate the efficacy of single injections of two different hyaluronic acid products, Flex Barrier and Revident, in reducing the size of black triangles to treat Nordland-Tarnow Class I and II recessions. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Forty adult patients were recruited with at least two upper and two lower interdental papilla defects in the front region between canine teeth. According to the Nordland-Tarnow classification of papillary defects, both Class I and Class II recessions were included in the investigation. Patients were randomly assigned to experimental groups to receive single injections of two different hyaluronic acid products, either Flex Barrier or Revident. The untreated sites served as controls. Photographs were taken before and immediately after the treatment, and again after one week and one month. To determine the size of the black triangles, Image J software was used. For statistical analysis, a mixed-design ANOVA was applied. RESULTS: Both Flex Barrier and Revident significantly decreased the size of the treated defects immediately after the treatment and also one week later (p<0.001). The beneficial effect of Revident lasted longer than Flex Barrier as it remained significant even after one month in Revident-treated patients, however, not in the Flex Barrier-treated group. Furthermore, Nordland-Tarnow Class I lesions generally showed a greater improvement than Class II lesions. CONCLUSION: In this proof-of-concept, randomized clinical trial we have demonstrated the clinical applicability of both Flex Barrier and Revident, although Revident gave longer-lasting improvements than Flex Barrier. Further trials are needed to optimize multiple-application protocols for treating gingival black triangles.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: The aim of this study was to measure the morphology of interdental papillae (IP) in maxillary anterior teeth using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). METHODS: Twenty-seven periodontally healthy subjects with 135 IP were evaluated by means of periodontal examination and a CBCT scan with an elastomeric matrix containing radiopaque material in position. According to the status of tooth contact and presence of IP, subjects were categorized into three groups: open contact point, complete papillae, and deficient papillae group. The papillae height (PH), facial-lingual thickness (FLT), and interdental distance (IDD) were measured. Data was analyzed with the significance level at α = 0.05. RESULTS: The mean PH values were 4.17 ± 0.51 mm, 3.99 ± 0.61 mm, and 3.99 ± 0.62 mm, for the open contact group, complete papilla, and deficient papilla group, respectively. The PH values of the recorded sites among central incisors, lateral incisors, and canine were 4.13 ± 0.56 mm, 3.87 ± 0. 63 mm, and 4.07 ± 0.58 mm, respectively. No statistically significant differences of the PH values were determined between the above three tested groups as well as between the different sites (p > 0.05). The IDD values obtained from the complete papilla group were significantly lower than the other tested groups (p < 0.05). CONCLUSION: The contact point condition of upper anterior sextants may not influence the presence and dimension of the IP in periodontally healthy subjects.

BACKGROUND AND AIM: Open gingival embrasure often poses complex functional and esthetic problems. Interdental papilla reconstruction is among the most challenging periodontal treatments. Hyaluronic acid (HA) gel injection, a noninvasive technique with immediate papilla reconstruction, has been recently proposed. This minimally invasive therapeutic procedure has shown predictable esthetic outcome, thus, gaining rapid acceptance as an esthetic treatment modality in dentistry. The aim of the study is to evaluate the clinical application of derma fillers (HA gel) for the reconstruction of the interdental papilla in the esthetic zone. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Six patients were included with interdental papilla deficiency. After the induction of local anesthesia, 0.2 ml of 0.2% HA injection was given at baseline, 3 weeks and 3 months. Measurements of the black triangle were done clinically using acrylic stent as a reference. The application of HA gel for the reconstruction of interdental papilla was found successful at a 6-month period. RESULTS: The study showed a significant gain in papillary volume, and esthetics improvement was notable. A statistically significant result was obtained in context to papilla fill. CONCLUSION: Interdental papilla reconstruction with injectable HA gel is a promising minimally invasive treatment option for interdental deficiency in small areas.
