El siguiente trabajo se realizó con el objetivo de resaltar la labor de los hermanos Francisco Antonio y José Sotero Figueroa Veliz quienes, además de ser patriotas participantes en la guerra independentista de los Diez Años, fueron profesionales de la salud, que como tantos otros han puesto en alto el nombre de Colón por su entrega y dedicación a la labor revolucionaria y a la labor médica(AU)
The following article was written with the aim of highlighting the work of the brothers Francisco Antonio and Jose Sotero Figueroa Veliz who, besides being patriots who participated in the Ten Years independence war, were health professionals of our municipality that as many others have made the name of Colon known, for their commitment and dedication to the revolutionary and medical work(AU)
