ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To analyze the blood supply and metabolism in the marginal area of foci of hepatic alveolar echinococcosis by quantitative perfusion parameters. METHODS: Thirty patients with hepatic alveolar echinococcosis were scanned with the Revolution CT and the images were analyzed. The perfusion parameters, such as the bloodflow (BF), time to peak (TTP), blood volume (BV), mean transit time (MTT) and hepatic arterial fraction (HAF) were compared among different groups. RESULTS: The BF, TTP, BV and MTT values of the peripheral infiltration zone and the values of the surrounding normal liver tissues were significantly different (F = 24.579, 8.343, 20.535 and 21.843, all P<0.05), but the HAF values of the peripheral infiltration zone and the values of the surrounding normal liver tissues were not significantly different in the hepatic alveolar echinococcosis patients (F = 2.621, P> 0.05) . CONCLUSIONS: The whole hepatic perfusion Revolution CT can accurately and quantitatively analyze the alveolar echinococcosis foci, especially the peripheral infiltration zone, which has important guiding significance for the formulation of surgical plan.

ABSTRACT

O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar a infiltração marginal em restaurações com cimento de ionômero de vidro modificado por resina, em função de diferentes tratamentos do esmalte e da dentina. Foram confeccionadas sessenta cavidades em molares decíduos humanos recém extraídos. Previamente à inserção do cimento de ionômero de vidro realizou-se diferentes pré-tratamentos, tais como: grupo 1 - primer do Vitremer, grupo 2 - condicionamento com ácido fosfórico a 35% + primer do Vitremer e grupo 3 - sistema adesivo Scotchbond Multi-Purpose. Os espécimes submetidos à ciclagem térmica por 300 ciclos de 10ºC e 55ºC foram imersos em rodamina B a 0,2% por um período de 24 horas. Posteriormente foram seccionados e analisados sob lupa estereoscópica ZEISS em aumento de 40X. Os resultados foram avaliados e submetidos a análise estatística de Kruskal-Wallis, através dos quais pode-se concluir: a) nenhum dos tratamentos foi capaz de inibir completamente a infiltração marginal, b) para a parede oclusal, os grupos G1 tratados com primer (Vitremer) e G2 tratado com ácido fosfórico a 35% e primer (Vitremer) tiveram comportamentos semelhantes, enquanto o grupo G3 tratado com Scotchbond Multi-Purpose apresentou maior infiltração; c) para a parede cervical os tratamentos da superfície dentária apresentaram comportamentos semelhantes; d) a infiltração marginal ocorreu em maior grau na parede oclusal quando comparado a parede cervical


The aim of this study was to evaluate the marginal infiltration in restorations with resin-modified glass ionomer cements, in terms of the different treatments of the enamel and dentin. Sixty cavities were prepared in recently extracted human deciduous molars. Previously to the insertion of the glass ionomer cement different pre-treatments was performed, such as: group 1 - primer of Vitremer, group 2 - conditioning with fosforic acid at 35% + primer of Vitremer and group 3 - adhesive system Scotchbond Multi-Purpose. The specimens were submitted to the thermal cycling by 300 cycles of 10ºC and 55ºC and were immerged in rodamina B at 0,2% for a period of 24 hours. Later on they were seccioned and analyzed under steroscopic glass magnifying ZEISS, with 40X of magnifying. The results were appraised and submitted to statistical analysis of Kruskal-Wallis, and it was concluded: a) none of the treatments were capable to inhibit the marginal infiltration; b) for the oclusal wall, the groups G1 treated with primer (Vitremer) and G2 treated with phosphoric acid at 35% and primer (Vitremer) had similar behaviors, while the treated group G3 with Scotchbond Multi-Purpose presented a greater marginal infiltration; c) for the cervical wall the treatments of the dental surface presented similar behaviors; d) the marginal infiltration ocurred in larger degree in the oclusal wall when compared the cervical wall
